Rebirth: A Woman With Frozen Heart

Ming Yue returned to the Qing house when the sky was quite dark. She couldn't make it in time to cook dinner but Ming Yue didn't feel guilty. She would move out tomorrow after all. She didn't want to stay in this house any longer.

"S.l.u.t! where have you been?!" Sui Rong shouted in anger the moment Ming Yue entered the house. Both Qing Xu Lin and Qing Mu Jing were not too far behind her.

"Mountain, gathering some herbs." Ming Yue replied coldly,

"How dare you return late and don't cook dinner!" Sui Rong lifted her hand to slap Ming Yue but Bai Hu made a hiss sound and Sui Rong's feet suddenly slipped, making her fell down hard on the floor.

"Ahh!" Sui Rong screamed in pain. Both Xu Lin and Mu Jing were dumbfounded. They didn't know how Sui Rong could slip and fall to the floor.

"Ming Yue! What did you do to mother?!" Mu Jing rushed toward Sui Rong and helped her stood on her feet.

"I didn't do anything. She just slipped on her own and fell to the floor." Ming Yue let out a nonchalant shrug then she smiled evilly, "Maybe it's the ghosts in this house."

Sui Rong, Mu Jing and Xu Lin had their jaw slackened the moment Ming Yue said ghosts. In the past, they hit her everytime she mentioned ghosts It happened often but after that Ming Yue never mentioned it again.

Now hearing what Ming Yue said, they finally noticed that Ming Yue was rebelling. In the past she was docile but now she was fighting back.

"Y-You..! Mu Jing, hit her! Right now!" Sui Rong ordered her son but Ming Yue's evil smile grew wider.

"Are you sure? The ghosts might attack him too, you know?"

Sui Rong stiffened, she grabbed her son's hand tightly for fear the ghosts would attack him. Bai Hu smirked, using his power to create gush of wind and made some things in the house shaking then fell to the floor.

"Eeek!" Sui Rong and Xu Lin screamed in fear while Mu Jing stared at Ming Yue with a pale face.

"Y-You cursed child! disaster child! leave the house now! NOW!!" Sui Rong screaming like a mad woman.

Ming Yue just nonchalantly went to her room, putting her things into her room in the space and returned to the living room. She stared at the three people who were still wearing fear expression on their faces.

"Today I am cutting ties with this family. From now on, we will be strangers. Do not come to me and disturb my life ever again, if you do.." Ming Yue gave them a murderous look and aura was leaking from her body, gave the three the feeling terror.

"Don't blame me for being cruel." Ming Yue said, snorted at them in disgust and mockery before leaving the house with Bai Hu by her side. This time, it would be forever..

It took a while before Sui Rong managed to calm herself down. She remembered how Ming Yue acting high and mighty, staring at them in disgust and her blood boiled.

"That s.l.u.t! How dare she... how dare she..!!" Sui Rong shouted in anger.

"Mother, don't you think Ming Yue is changing now?" Xu Lin asked in dubious.

"Yeah, it's like she is a different person." Mu Jing.

"I agree. Maybe she is possessed by evil spirit!" Xu Lin said. She couldn't stand the change in Ming Yue. In her view, Ming Yue should be beneath her feet and worshipped her. Ming Yue only fit to be her 'servant'.

Sui Rong fell silence, contemplating on what Xu Lin said. "You might be right, Xu Lin ah. I will go to the temple to have a monk come to school tomorrow. As soon as the evil spirit is gone, we will drag that s.l.u.t back to be our servant again."

Ming Yue decided to go to the hotel to stay for the night. While walking Bai Hu let out a laughter, clearly happy recalling the incident before.

"As expected of Master, even when you are being cold and cruel, I can't help be mesmerized once again." He said with a grin

Ming Yue shook her head with a soft smile, "I meant what I said though."

"Of course I know Master. Those mortals have the nerve to make your life a living hell then this mighty Bai Hu shall make them pay for it." Bai Hu said with a cold snort.

He recalled the past when his Master had a hard life because of those mortals. It took all of him not rage in madness, because at that time Bai Hu and the other beasts were still sealed inside Tianshang De Kongjian.

For the first time in his eternal life, Bai Hu felt helpless, despair, useless. He couldn't do anything to help his Master. Those feelings, Bai Hu would never want to feel it again. This time for sure, Bai Hu would protect his lady within his embrace. Bai Hu was sure that other beasts felt the same way as he did. They would pamper and dote on her all the time. Just like in the past. Before their lady met THAT MAN.

"Little girl?" A voice could be heard. Ming Yue turned her head only to see the old man she met on the way to the mountain. He was in the backseat of a very expensive looking car.

"What are you doing roaming around the street at this time. It's very dangerous for a girl like you."

"Oh, I am just heading to the nearby hotel." Ming Yue said.

The old man frowned, "Hotel? You're not going home instead?"

He didn't think that the little girl would do improper thing just by the word 'Hotel'. The old man had eyes for characters and he believed the little girl was a proper one.

"I am an orphan, just cutting ties with my adopted family and left their house." Ming Yue explained briefly. "Well then, grandpa. I will excuse myself."

As Ming Yue wanted to walked ahead, the old man called out to her. "Wait!"

"Yes?" Ming Yue stared at the old man in confusion. What this old man wanted from her?

"You can come to my house. Rather than living in a hotel, others will have bad impression on you." The old man said.

'If I go with you, others will have bad impression as well you know.' Ming Yue retorted in her mind.

Now Ming Yue was in dilemma. Both paths would lead to bad rumors. She also didn't know this old man since he was a mere stranger, someone she just met on the way. However, having a 'witness' might be better than having none. If she went to the hotel, she didn't have a reliable witness to prove that she was innocent. If she went this old man, judging that he was worthy of her trust, she would have a reliable witness. Well if this old man turned out to be different, all she needed to do was to have Bai Hu helped her.

After contemplating for a while, Ming Yue gave her answer. "Okay. I will come with you, Grandpa. Thank you for your kindness before hand."

Ming Yue entered the car with Bai Hu as the car drove away. Meanwhile there was a shadow staring at the leaving car with an evil smile full of schemes.
