Rebirth:The Badass Young Lady

Gu Xiao Yue didn't know that trouble was again going to come and find her tomorrow as she went back home with Feng Jiao and her two brothers after having their lunch in a nearby restaurant.

Tomorrow, it was chemistry exam so she looked through the book and her notes once after going to her room. She then took a quick nap after finishing looking through the notes.

Just an hour ago, the teachers were in a quiet uproar when Yu Fei Fei told them about how Gu Xiao Yue wrote the answers without even 9 stopping her hands once and that her answers were all correct.

The teachers were very happy and excited to hear that but there was someone who was disgruntled by this news and could only grit her teeth as she heard her colleagues praising someone she didn't like.

'Let's see how she really does tomorrow. Since I'm the one in charge of guarding the exam hall tomorrow, I will see with my own eyes whether that arrogant girl is really as extraordinary as these people say.'

Zhao Shi snorted silently as she then exited the teacher's office,leaving behind the excited chattering of the teachers inside.

The next day came in a blink of an eye.

The day was greeted with warm sunlight again. Gu Xiao Yue woke up early as usual but she had an uneasy feeling when she got out of her bed and followed her daily routine. She didn't know why she felt uneasy but if it really was a sign of trouble then she would deal with it when the trouble comes.

Gu Xiao Yue had breakfast with her family and got a good news.

"Grandpa's birthday? Oh right! Grandpa, your birthday is so near now! Isn't it on March 14?"

Gu Xiao Yue cried out in joy when she heard it. She had already known his birthday but just forgot about it after being busy with other matters like business, hangouts and exams. She had already thought about the birthday gift for him too.

" Hoho, it is indeed. And I was also thinking that since my birthday wouldn't be something small and would have the attendance of many big shots and other people along with the close relatives, wouldn't it be much better to have your debut in the society as the young miss of Gu family. Ah Yue, I wanted to ask if you are okay with it. Or do you still want to hide it from the public?"

Grandpa Gu laughed at first but his expression became sadder and his eyes were like a puppy's when he said the last sentence. Gu Xiao Yue looked at him and felt sad too as she already knew that her grandpa loved her very much and wanted to show off to everyone how he doted on her.

But because she said to hide it from the public as she didn't want to attract any unnecessary attention, he had been bottling up this news from others.

But now that she had let out the news of being the daughter of Gu family in the school and even had her name changed already then it was only reasonable to have her debut in the society as the daughter of Gu family.

She didn't have to hide it anymore and since it was also her grandpa's wish to do it on his own birthday, it was more the reason for her to be reluctant to reject it.

"It's alright, grandpa. You can decide about how you want it to be like. I will follow through it without any objection. Just look forward to the birthday gift I am going to prepare for you and enjoy your day without any worries."

Gu Xiao Yue agreed to his plans with a smile on her face and grandpa Gu's face also brightened up when he got her consent on this plan for her debut.

He was now very much determined to make her debut the best ever debut and let everyone present in the birthday party have it engraved in their mind even after many years.

Looking at how her grandpa's eyes were shining just from her agreement to it made her chuckle.

"Xiao Yue, what are you going to give grandpa as his birthday gift?" Gu Qin Zhen asked her after they finished their breakfast. He asked her after grandpa Gu had gone to his room as he couldn't contain his curiosity.

"That's a secret. You will see when the time comes." Gu Xiao Yue chuckled and put her index finger on her lips to make a 'shh' sign.

"Ehhh? You can't even tell your older brother? Come on ah. Xiao Yue, tell me." Gu Qin Zhen followed Gu Xiao Yue around as he asked her to tell him the secret but Gu Xiao Yue was very patient as she just laughed and fended him off.

"Zhen, instead of asking me about the birthday gift, how about thinking of what you will give to both me and grandpa? I'm also having my first debut after all so won't that mean that you have to prepare a gift for me too? Or is it that you don't want to give me a gift?"

Gu Xiao Yue said that as she pretended to be sad which made Gu Qin Zhen panic as he coaxed her. Gu Xiao Yue then couldn't keep her laughter in as she laughed at his funny face.

" Aigo, Xiao Yue, you are too much! And I was so worried that you were really sad. But it is for sure that I will prepare the best gift for your debut so don't worry!" Gu Qin Zhen first complained then couldn't bear to scold his little sister so he changed his tone to a coaxing one again.

" Hmm, let's see then. Whose gift would be the best one." Gu Shao Yan came from nowhere as he also joined into the conversation. The two brothers then fought about whose gift will be the best as they even made a bet out of it.

Gu Xiao Yue didn't know whether to laugh or cry when she saw even the serious brother of hers was now fighting like a kid for such a small matter.

Gu Xiao Yue then went to school with Feng Jiao after she calmed her two brothers down. They were a bit late so they couldn't go for a walk today. They went straight to their own class rooms after separating from the hallway.

Gu Xiao Yue went inside the class room and took a seat. Her seat was at the last row near the window. While Shu Ling Shi's seat was at the middle of the class. Shu Ling Shi was keeping an eye on her from the corner of her eyes as a glint flashed through her eyes.

She got up from her seat and went towards Gu Xiao Yue with her hands folded across her c.h.e.s.t.

"Hmph, I see that you would always submit your paper in a short time. Weren't you all arrogant before?" Shu Ling Shi said that disdainfully as she got near her seat. Gu Xiao Yue didn't even look up at her as she just continued arranging her exam materials.

This made Shu Ling Shi grit her teeth in anger but she had to keep calm as she had another purpose to approach her right now.

"Hey, are you pretending to not hear me or you are just too ashamed to even face me because I got it right that you didn't write anything in your papers?" Shu Ling Shi again tried to provoke her but Gu Xiao Yue then looked out of the window after she finished arranging her exam materials as if she wasn't there at all.

'Hmph, it's your own fault for being arrogant.' Shu Ling Shi then took advantage of her inattentiveness and dropped something right under Gu Xiao Yue's desk secretly as she sneered after seeing that she hadn't noticed it yet.

"Tch. Just you wait. Let's see how long you can keep your calm facade on your face." Shu Ling Shi then turned around with a victorious smile on her face and went back to her seat.

Gu Xiao Yue finally turned her head as she was suspicious why Shu Ling Shi would only come to provoke her without doing anything else. She knew that she must be scheming something but she didn't care as it would all fail anyway.

The bell rang as the teacher also came inside the class. It was actually Zhao Shi's turn today. Zhao Shi looked at Gu Xiao Yue from the corner of her eyes as she then distributed the question papers and answer sheets as she said.

"No one is allowed to cheat. If I found someone cheating, I will confiscate their answer sheets and kick them out of the exam hall and you will fail the exam whether you wrote passable answers or not."

Zhao Shi was actually directing it towards Gu Xiao Yue as she didn't believe that Gu Xiao Yue wrote her answers without cheating so she said that to make her panic and show her true colours.
