The four of them laughed and talked about random things for a while and then suddenly Granpa Gu asks Xi Xiao Yue. "Ah Yue, you have left the Xi family but they are still taken as your legal family members. Do you want me to help you in the procedures for severing your ties with them?" Grandpa Gu doesn't have a good feeling whenever he hears or thinks about Xi family after learning about Xi Xiao Yue's sufferings. So he wants to deal with them fast and let his granddaughter out of the shackles called Xi family.

Xi Xiao Yue was also contemplating about how she should make the Xi family let her go so she was very happy to hear that Grandpa Gu will help her with it. So she was rest assured and answered. "Thank you Grandpa Gu, you are the best!" She then gave him a very bright smile from her heart which stunned the people inside the room. She was really beautiful ah!

After she got her abilities, her face and body has been going through changes visible to the eyes like shedding her old skin and forming a new one. Before, although pretty, her face was not as fair as now nor so smooth and glistening. Her skin was white as snow and her body had meat where needed. Although she was a little petite but she has been exercising and running and was consuming more nutritional food which helped her gain a bit of height. She was now 165cm to 170cm. Really astonishing growth.

The grandpa and grandson trio and the servants were very embarrassed for looking at her for so long and were also pleased by her beauty. 'Is this what is called' Country toppling beauty? '. Everyone had this thought in their mind.

Xi Xiao Yue didn't know what they had in their mind. Grandpa Gu then said to have lunch now so they went to have lunch in the dining hall. Grandpa Gu sat on the main seat and the grandsons and granddaughter sat in both sides of him. They enjoyed their lunch and even forgot their rules of not speaking while eating as they talked about schools and stuffs.

"Xiao Yue, You also study in Ying Yue High School??" Gu Qin Zhen asked in an excited tone. "Yes, I am in first year. I heard from Grandpa Gu that you both study there too." said Xi Xiao Yue nonchalantly as she smiled lightly. "That's great! Which class are you in? If anyone dared to bully you just tell me and I'll protect you from them and punish them!" said Qin Zhen as he fisted his hand.

"You will protect her? Don't joke. You haven't learnt martial arts yet. I am a black belt in taekwondo so I am more qualified to protect her." said the silent Gu Shao Yan. He acted a little more m.a.t.u.r.e than Gu Qin Zhen who was bubbly and cheerful. He would say some words and mostly listen to them talking usually so it can be seen that he really wanted to be the one to pamper his little sister more. Gu Qin Zhen was angered by this and immediately refuted. "So what if you are a black belt? I can still protect my little sister with my normal strength! Do you want to fight??"

"Oh? You want to fight with me?" asked Gu Shao Yan calmly.

Gu Qin Zhen was scared that Gu Shao Yan will really fight him so he shut up and ate the food in his plate while lowering his head. Looking at this, Xi Xiao Yue wanted to laugh and chuckled lightly. Seeing that their little sister was laughing at their conversation earlier made them both a little shy and also happy.

"Brother Yan, Brother Zhen. I am happy that you want to help me so much. But it is alright, no one can bully me now. If they really do then I will definitely tell you and let you protect me." Xi Xiao Yue said as she felt warmth in her heart as she saw how sincerely they cared and loved her even though she was a stranger just before this morning.

They were all honest and out going as they didn't discriminate her for not being blood related nor disdained her for being an orphan. She had never felt so loved in her previous life after her parent's death, even her only blood related little sister had betrayed her for wealth and status. Now seeing these totally unrelated people showing love and care made her eyes a little teary and felt as if she had a lump stuck in her throat.

Seeing her expression changed from happy to sad and then teary, the grandpa and grandsons were very fl.u.s.tered and coaxed her and asked her gently if she felt uncomfortable somewhere or if she was hurt or if they said something hurting.

The way they were acting made her not know whether to cry or laugh as she just let the tears flow and laughed heartily as she said, "I am not crying. I am just very happy that I have found such a loving family." Hearing her say that made them feel sad for her and also swore to themselves to give her the most love and care that anyone could get in the world and never let anyone hurt her.

The serious, calm and stern businesswoman who swore to not trust others again to be betrayed had her stoned heart start to melt by their sincerity and love. She then swore to herself to love them and not let them fall into any trouble, to always protect them from harm and give them her best.

" Ah Yue, you make yourself at home here and get familiar to this place. We will hold a welcome party for you and call all the close relatives and your eldest and youngest father and mother. If you need anything then you can tell me or your brothers or the servants in this mansion to get it. Your room is on the second floor with a balcony where you can see the best view of the garden and the city. You will definitely like it." said Grandpa Gu after they finished their lunch.

Grandpa Gu's room was in the third floor and the two brother's rooms were also in the second floor. The mansion was very spacious so the kitchen, dining hall and the living room were on the first floor. The rooms had attached bathroom with both warm and cold water. The laundry and cooking were all done by the maids. Butler He was the closest and most trusted aide of Grandpa Gu and was in charge of the servants in the house. He was the one who led Xi Xiao Yue to the living room. There was also a study where all sorts of old and new books were stored safely. Grandpa Gu would sometimes spend his time in there while reading some books to pass the time.

Grandpa Gu had already let his two sons take care of the family's business so he was spending his life in leisure as he took care of his two grandsons. He didn't have any daughter nor granddaughter so he always wanted a granddaughter. So when he finally adopted Xi Xiao Yue as his granddaughter, he was really very happy and more doting on his new granddaughter.

After checking out her room which was very big and stylish with her favourite black and white colour, filled with all the necessary items that looked expensive and of high quality, she was very satisfied with her room. She then took a tour around the mansion with her two big brothers while Grandpa Gu went to take a rest and told butler He to prepare for the invitations and other things for the welcome party which will be held tomorrow night.

The two sons of Grandpa Gu and their wives were informed first about the adopting and were shocked that there was actually someone who caught the eye of the pickiest person to adopt her as his granddaughter. But they were also glad that their old father was enjoying himself and hearing about her being well behaved and lovable through the mouth of butler He who was the most trusted aide of Old Man Gu. They also looked forward to seeing if she really was that good so they decided to head to Ning city tomorrow morning.

After the tour, Xi Xiao Yue asked butler He if he could help him in buying herself a new computer as she would really need it for many things. She also wanted to research about jade and antiques as she only knew whether the raw stones had any jade or not but didn't know their quality nor their value which made it more possible to be duped by someone.

She handed butler He her card to buy the computer and her school books, bag and uniform as all of her things were in the Xi family and she didn't want to return to that place full of snakes and scorpions. Butler He then went to do the work as she walked around the garden in leisure.

'This life really isn't bad. I sometimes feel like the god pitied me for my sufferings and wanted me to enjoy my life fully without any burdens and feel the warmth of having people who care and love me again. This life, I will definitely do what I couldn't before and enjoy everything the world has to give me to the fullest as I protect and cherish the love from the people around me.'

She looks at the bright sun and the blue sky filled with white clouds with a determined and a looking-forward-to-the-future type of expression in her eyes as she clenches her fist tightly with a smile on her lips. She looked so majestic under the golden light of the sun which could blind other's sight with the bright aura around her which made her look like a goddess looking down at the mortals.

After butler He got all the things she wanted him to, it was already 5pm in the evening. The computer was placed in her room and connected to Internet. It was the latest model popular in the market. Her school uniform will be done by tomorrow and the books and school bag were already placed in the book shelf and her study table neatly.

It was already time for dinner after she took a look at her books. She went downstairs towards the dining hall as she saw that everyone was seated already. With dishes served on the dining table by the maids, very tantalising and delicious aroma spread around the hall, making her appetite grow.

"Ah Yue, you are here. I was just about to tell a maid to go and call you downstairs for dinner. Look, I had the cook to make your favourite dishes." there really were her favourite dishes and many more food. A bowl of red braised pork belly, One bowl of stir-fried smoked bean curd with sausage, one bowl of tomatoe soup, one braised carp, rice and many more side dishes.

Grandpa Gu had actually remembered all her favourite dishes when he asked her about it during lunch. She felt very touched about his attentiveness. She then takes a seat beside Grandpa Gu and picks up the chopsticks on the table as she starts to pick some food from the bowls for herself and also helps pick some for grandpa Gu. She even adds on about him eating more nutritious food for he was growing old so he had to take care of his health more.

Grandpa Gu was very happy seeing her being so filial and worrying about his health so he ate more than usual in a very good mood. The two brothers were also happy seeing their little sister like this and gave her their pork to her to eat. Although Xi Xiao Yue tried to refuse, they just wouldn't budge and told her the same thing she said to grandpa Gu about how she was still growing and had to eat more nutritious food and take good care of her health. The humor in their tone made Grandpa Gu laugh out as he went along them too.

She was choked to laughter by their words as she laughed and ate happily. She looked very cute when she made a knowing not to whether laugh or cry expression and then a delighted one as she ate with her cheeks bulging out that made everyone laugh happily at her antics. The laughter and the sounds of chopsticks clanging on the bowls and plates were ringing in the dining hall. The dinner finished in a harmonious way as they went to their own room to take a refreshing bath and then sleep.

Xi Xiao Yue sat on the comfy chair as she turned on her computer. She wanted to research about the jades and antiques. She then searched about the types and the quality of the jade and history about the antiques.

Jades were the most sought after gems in the market. A jade is a spiritual stone.Their prices in the market were identified by the colour, transparency and texture of the jade. The available colour of jade are lavender, red, orange, green, yellow, brown, white, black and gray. The most expensive and sought after colour of a jade is deep green.

The quality of a jade from high to low is determined by its transparency. They can also be known as glass, Ice, bean, oil green, hibiscus and gold. The highest being the type of transparency same as a glass. The texture is identified by how smooth the surface of the jade is. Its types are fine, medium and coarse.

The rarest and the most expensive jade is the Imperial jade which is of the finest-quality,almost transparent with vibrant emerald green colour. Even now, its value is already over 200 millions of yuan. But its hard to find. The other expensive and rare jades are Empress jade, the one she had cut out before and sold to Grandpa Gu, King Fisher jade, apple jade, moss-in-snow jade, Fortune and longivity jade,etc.

After Xi Xiao Yue got a good understanding of the jades and antiques, she then shut down the computer. Before when she was Li Xiao Yue, she already had a very good memory where she would remember after reading twice but in this life, after she got her ability, she now has a photographic memory where she can remember anything vividly with just a look or by hearing only once.
