Rebirth:The Badass Young Lady

The next day, Xi Xiao Yue got up early as usual. She went to the balcony as she stretched and breathed in the fresh morning air as she looked at the beautiful scene of the green plants and trees and the colourfull flowers glistening with morning dew on the petals. The birds were chirping cheerfully as it worked as a soothing song in the peaceful moment.

'Grandpa Gu didn't lie to me. I can really see the best view from the balcony which makes me can't help but sigh out in refreshment.' as she thought that, she heard a voice calling her from the garden. She then saw her brothers and Grandpa Gu there taking a walk. "YueYue, good morning! Come, come. Let's take a walk together!" the one who said that was the cheerful Gu Qin Zhen who was jumping up and down on the ground as to get the attention of Xi Xiao Yue. She smiled at him helplessly as she went down towards the garden.

" Good morning Grandpa Gu, Brother Yan, Brother Zhen! You guys are up early!" she greeted them as she joined them on a walk. The garden was very spacious like a football ground. The servants were doing their own works as they were hustling and bustling around the mansion. The cool morning wind blew as it freshened up people's mind as the sun was peeking from the hill. It truly was very peaceful and beautiful.

They walked around for a while as they asked each other if they slept well and what they would like for breakfast. As the others retreated after the walk, Xi Xiao Yue didn't go in but ran around the garden as she also practiced the martial arts she learned in her previous life. She did that for an hour as she was sweating all over and decided to stop and take a bath. After drying her wet hair, she went to the dining hall to join everyone for a hearty breakfast.

She then heard that the Eldest and youngest sons of grandpa Gu were coming to Ning City with their wives by morning flight and have already boarded on the plane. So the two brothers were going to pick them up at the airport after 2 hours. The eldest son's name was Gu Xi Ming, who was 37 years old and his wife was Ji Hui Yi, 34 years old. Ji Hui Yi's maternal family was one of the big family Ji family in Jian City.

Gu Xi Ming was handsome with a chiseled face and a pair of sharp eyes that belonged to a businessman. He was very protective and loving to his family and friends and serious in nature. A very upright person. Ji Hui Yi was a m.a.t.u.r.e and elegant woman of great beauty. She was kind and caring with no pretentiousness as she treated everyone as equal. The Ji family had strick rules and were very meticulous in raising their children so she would of course be a good person too.

The youngest son was Gu Xi Jian, 35 years old and his wife Xia Rui, 32 years old. Xia Rui was from a slightly rich family which wasn't very well known in the city. It was only a family with short history. Xia Rui's father was only a small businessman and her mother was a bank accountant. She could only marry in the Gu family because she and Gu Xi Jian fell in love with each other at first sight in a restaurant. Gu Xi Jian is an amicable person and a gentleman. He was also handsome with his short mustache and had sharp but gentle eyes. He was much more out going than his big brother and very kind and loving towards his family. Xia Rui was kind a gentle and also a little humble as she knew not to be arrogant in her wealth nor achievements. She was of good character so Old man Gu let his second son marry her.

Both sons had one son who were Gu Shao Yan and Gu Qin Zhen and doted on them very much. But the two of them weren't spoiled rotten like the other rich kids due to proper education and upbringing by their parents and Grandpa Gu.

Hearing about them, Xi Xiao Yue was a little curious about them and wanted to see how they will react to her presence after coming here. It would be a lie if she said she wasn't nervous because she liked the honest and caring Grandpa Gu and her two brothers so she didn't want other family members to be against the Idea about adopting her or not liking her. She finally could feel the familiar feeling of being loved and doted on by her family which made her unwilling to let go of this warmth.

After breakfast, she went to her room and again researched about the various jewelery companies, their foundation, background, etc and about the latest news. She had already seen the news about her death in the hospital so she wanted to get more news about how the Li family was doing in the hands of those traitorous couple. As she was scrolling down the news, she saw a video of her funeral where those two who betrayed and murdered her were kneeling down and crying crocodile tears in front of her 'coffin'.

The funeral was finally being done today. It was done so extravagantly and publicly that it made everyone feel like the little sister and the former fiance of Li Xiao Yue were really devastated by the news of her death. Li Miao was crying and saying "Big sister, wuu wuu, why did you have to die so early?.. Qin Feng was also shedding his tears, his eyes red but was calmly and softly placating the crying Li Miao in his arms.

Looking at them acting even infront of her coffin made Xi Xiao Yue's eyes turn icy cold suddenly and an intense murderous aura leaked out of her body. She was clenching her fists so tight that the nails dug into her fair palms, drawing out blood as it flowed down her hands. She seemed as if not able to feel the pain as she glared at the two figures on the screen hugging each other as they cried.

'What a good sister! What a good fiance! Pei! You must be thinking that everything is now settled after she died? Sneer, you two must have never imagined in your whole life that I, Li Xiao Yue would actually reincarnate in another body as another Xiao Yue! Keep on acting as much as you want till you can as I will definitely crush you and the Li family down with my own hands! What I brought up is what only I can bring down! Xi Xiao Yue cursed in her heart as she vowed to take revenge and then calmed down after a long time as she shut down the computer and got up. She finally saw the blood dripping down her palm from the injury her nails made. She didn't show any expression as she took out a first aid box and applied medicine for preventing infection and wrapped a bandage around her hands.

She went downstairs to see out the two brothers as they went on the car to the airport to pick up their parents. They were slightly shocked and worried about her injury in her hands and asked her how she got hurt and if it was serious or if they should call a doctor. She then told them to calm down and that it wasn't serious did they finally calmed themselves but were still a little worried. She hurried them to get in the car as they would get late to get to the airport and told them not to worry about her. The driver finally started the car and went out of the mansion towards the airport.

She watched the receding figure of the car till it couldn't be seen then turned back to go inside. When she went inside the living room, she saw Grandpa Gu sitting on the main seat and talking cheerfully or turning grumpy in another with a guest beside him. The guest was an old man of about same age as Grandpa Gu with long white beard and long white hair made into a small bun with the rest flowing down his back. He was wearing a white changpao as he had a calm and clear eyes which showed the vicitudes he has seen in his life. He looked like an ethereal immortal when he was sitting and talking with Grandpa Gu calmly while sometimes laughing at his words or actions. They looked very close like real brothers. She was a little curious about this immortal like old man with a little wrinkles on his face.

They then finally noticed the little girl standing at the entrance as she glanced at the two of them with curious but calm gaze. Grandpa Gu waved his hands excitedly at Xi Xiao Yue as he called her in lovingly. He then let Xi Xiao Yue sit beside him as he then saw the bandaged little hands of his dearest granddaughter.

He was shocked then felt pain on his c.h.e.s.t as he asked her how she got Injured and if he should take her to the hospital as he worried about her being hurt. Xi Xiao Yue was very touched by the worry and concern the old man and the two brothers showed towards her and had her hatred and pain in her heart cleansed as her eyes teared a little. She then smiled at him and said she was okay and that it was only a small injury so not to worry about it as she calmed him down as to not get too riled up in case his blood pressure might rise up suddenly which is bad for his health.

After being calmed down by her words, he looked at her with a little bit of worry in his eyes but then listened to her words and said nothing as he pat her head. Old Man Wu, who was sitting calmly across Grandpa Gu was slightly curious about the little girl who just popped up and the worry and concern towards her and the doting eyes of Grandpa Gu made him a little shocked then got a little interested in the little girl's identity. He was a little embarrassed for being ignored by both of them but still had on a calm expression outside. He then opened his mouth to ask Old man Gu. "Hey, old man. Aren't you going to introduce this little girl to me too?"

Old man Gu finally remembered that his old friend was also here as he had forgot about him after seeing his little granddaughter. "Oh, I almost forgot about you. This is the granddaughter I told you about whom I just adopted yesterday. Ah Yue, this is Old man Wu, my childhood friend and my best buddy. You can call him Grandpa Wu from now on." He introduced his old friend to Xi Xiao Yue without even looking at him.

Old man Wu's mouth twitched a few times as he was speechless at how he admitted that he almost forgot his presence and how he didn't even look at him while Introducing. He was helpless at his old friend's ways and also was already used to it as he directed his attention towards the little girl. Xi Xiao Yue got up and greeted Old Man Wu sweetly. "Grandpa Wu."

She was polite and well behaved as well as called him Grandpa Wu so sweetly with her voice as beautiful as an oriole which made him have a good impression on her as he nodded and told her to not be so formal towards him. She then sat down and became quiet as she watched the two elders talking about her and then came the praises about her which also made her feel very shy due to the overpraising by grandpa Gu. She looked very cute with her cheeks blushing slightly as she had her eyes rounded a little bigger and looked down, embarrassed by the praises which made the two elders laugh at her which made her blush more.

'Ahhh! I have never been so embarrassed like this before!' She didn't have any grandpa in her previous life which made her a bit awkward while in front of the elders but was still calm outside. Looking at her good conduct of not showing her embarrassment on her face and still being calm and polite made Grandpa Wu look at her in a good light. 'This lass isn't bad. The old man really found himself a good granddaughter!' Old man Wu knew about her talent in raw stone gambling and how she also cut out so many high quality jades which made him feel slightly envious and jealous of Old man Gu for his great fortune to get such a genius girl as his granddaughter.

He knew his old friend very well and knew that he didn't adopt her because of the benefits in it but just because he really liked the little girl and very much wanted her to be his granddaughter. Who wouldn't want such a beautiful and interesting little girl as their granddaughter? The Xi family were really blind as to treat a pearl as a fish eye. They truly didn't deserve such an adorable girl as their daughter at all! And they weren't her real family anyway so it's better if she is far away from the claws of those stupid people.
