Rebirth:The Badass Young Lady

As they kept on talking about some random things and old man Gu joked around with old man Wu, old man Wu joked about wanting to take Xi Xiao Yue for himself as his granddaughter which made old man Gu huff out in anger as he held Xi Xiao Yue in his arms as if a hen protecting its chick. It looked so comical and adorable that both old man Wu and Xi Xiao Yue wanted to burst out in tears and laughter.

Old man Wu wasn't as indifferent and cold like real immortals as he would smile when old man Gu joked around or would joke back with more humour which didn't make him seem as unapproachable as he looked from his ethereal figure.

He would show his concern towards Xi Xiao Yue about how thin and small she was and how she should take good care of herself and told old man Gu to take better care of her as if he found out he didn't then he would take away Xi Xiao Yue as his own granddaughter. Old man Gu replied to him angrily as promised that he would treat her the best he can and that old man Wu needn't worry about it too much as he himself was enough for doting on his little granddaughter.

Seeing them bickering about with humour about how they would take better care of her made Xi Xiao Yue completely forget about the two snake like couple and the hatred she bore in her heart was replaced by the warmth of being loved. It was really a blessing in disguise to meet Old man Gu in the raw stone gambling shop as she could get a good family and a doting grandpa who would even though only met for awhile, would still wish for the best of everything for her and would love her as a family. She loved this place so much that she even thought of never leaving this place even if she found her real family.

Even if she found her real family, she doubted if she could really feel the same way she did towards grandpa Gu and others. She also doubted if the real family of this body were still alive and searching for her around the world. She even doubted if she was unloved and just abandoned this burden of a child. She felt a slight uncomfort and her heart winced a little as she thought about that as she blanked out a little with her face still calm but an incomprehensible expression hidden on her two star-like eyes.

The two elders saw that she didn't talk for awhile as she blanked out in deep thoughts so old man Gu called out to her. She only came back to herself after being called out for the 7th time as she sincerely apologised them for the Inattention towards their conversation, already letting go of those thoughts about her real family and then changed the topic to the welcome party that's going to be held tonight.

"That's right. Grandpa Gu, how is the preparation going for the welcome party? Is there anything that I can help with? I don't have anything to do for today so I'm feeling unrest as to find something to do. So can I help?" She asked as she tilted her head cutely as she blinked her eyes at grandpa Gu.

Grandpa Gu couldn't refuse her with those doe like eyes of hers on him even though he didn't want to tire out his little granddaughter on the preparation of her own welcome party but still gave in for her. 'Since when did I become so soft hearted ah? Aii, my little granddaughter is really the softest part of me.'

Grandpa Gu let her follow butler He to check how the preparation is going on and help out if there is anything she can do there. Butler He then made a' please' gesture as he guided Xi Xiao Yue towards the hall where the welcome party will be held. Xi Xiao Yue then found herself in a spacious hall besides the mansion where the workers were busy preparing for the party as they went around setting on tables and chairs and decorated the hall with frills and other decorations.

It was very lively but done very systematically. They were doing it all like they did it many times. Xi Xiao Yue found the preparations done very well and couldn't find anything for herself to do as the workers would tell her to not get her hands dirtied as they could do all the work themselves when she wanted to try helping them. She felt very sad about it and sulked a little but then let it go as she returned to her calm self. She couldn't do anything at all till the preparations were done smoothly so she just went to her room, tired.

She jumped on her bed as she thought how her day's suddenly became so peaceful with nothing much to do as she put her plans aside for awhile for her new family. She now really wanted the school to start so that she could have something to do as she would then graduate from the high school fast and then start her plan of building a business empire officially.

She had 70 millions of yuan on her account now which wasn't really enough for her business to start successfully so she needed at least 300 millions of yuan as capital for the smooth sail of her business. She wanted to open or buy all types of business such as real estates, jewelery company, game company, mobile phones company etc etc and spread her business all over the world as she would stand on top of the world's business empire.

But first, she really needed to build her physical strength and master the martial arts. She was actually very interested in martial arts since she was a child so she trained so hard that her hands were rough and her body had scars and bruises all over which also lessened her beauty and appeal a little in her previous life. But she didn't feel anything bad about what she did as she could use the knowledge to protect herself and her loved ones. If not being poisoned without her knowing about it by her so called Little sister, she would definitely had been able to fend off those two weaklings without using any of her strength.

She had already hardened her heart and mind and started to act like a m.a.t.u.r.e a.d.u.l.t and a businesswoman since her parent's death so she didn't have much time on spending time with her hobbies and doing other interesting things so she wanted to do all the things she couldn't and wanted to refine her hidden skills she had when she was still pampered and doted on by her parents.

When she was 15,she was already called a genius at her school as she always topped the scores on her exams and became a legend of that school's history. She was talented in music, sports, academics, arts and many more skills. She then only focused on her knowledge about business as she strive for the best of the Li family by letting the other skills hidden on her heart. She couldn't treat herself the same as other girls so she became stern and serious with her works as a president of a business empire.

Actually, she had her loyal subordinates in the business companies of Li family who would even die for her. They were the really closest and true family for her as they supported her in everything she decided to do. They would care about her wellbeing and even force her not to do something that is harmful for herself.

They had always been wary of those two a.d.u.l.terous couple and had warned her to be careful around them but she would reprimand them for being rude and too suspicious of her loved ones, they would still grit their teeth but wouldn't leave her side even though I wouldn't take their warning about her little sister seriously.

Now that she thought about it, she had really been the one who was blind while they could see things clearly and worried about her as they warned her but she was so stupid as to think they were overly cautious. She had a ridiculing smile on her for herself as she felt a pang of sadness and longing to see them again. 'If I told them that I was Li Xiao Yue and that I got reincarnated, I wonder if they would believe me or think I'm crazy to talk about such and loath her.' If they really didn't believe her then she would never be able to forgive herself for the way she treated them before.

As she thought all these, she felt very sleepy and fell asleep quickly.

She only woke up when she heard a knock on the door. It was already 2pm in the afternoon. She got up from her bed as she rubbed her eyes and went to open the door. It was a maid of short stature and looked young, about 23 years old. She was average in appearance but had a cheerful but respectful personality as she always had a smile on her face.

She then said to her in a respectful way, "Good afternoon!Young miss, the old master said that the young masters are back with their parents and that he wants your presence in the living room to greet them. Please get freshened up and go downstairs to the living room as they are waiting for you."

"Okay, tell them I will be there in a moment. Thank you." She replied with a smile at the maid. This smile made the maid to stare at her face in admiration. She only got to herself when Xi Xiao Yue coughed a bit embarrassedly at the maid which made her blush and stutter as she apologised for her rude behaviour and then bowed and left hurriedly.

Seeing the funny but cute figure of the maid who ran away hurriedly, she chuckled softly then went to the bathroom to freshen up as she wore a set of new clothing which was casual and simple but looked stylish. She looked casual and adorable in it. She then went down towards the living room. She could hear the people talking and laughing in the living room from the outside. She even heard grandpa Gu's cheerful voice and some unfamiliar voices from there. She didn't go on guessing who they might be as she walked in the living room.

Her entrance made the noisy room silent for a while as she greeted grandpa Gu and he pulled her to sit next to him. There were four strangers in the room who seemed to be the eldest and the youngest couples who were going to be her foster parents from now on. Old man Gu then Introduced them to her as he also introduced her to them. The eldest son Gu Xi Ming was in a gray suit with a white inner shirt and a blue tie. His hair was combed neatly with a shaved smooth face which was a bit tanned. He looked more like a 25 years old young man than a middle aged man.

The woman next to her was Ji Hui Yi who was wearing a long sleeved, knee-length white gown with a pair of expensive looking black sandles. She had a beautiful face, with a warm smile on her face which made her look very graceful and elegant, just like what grandpa Gu described her as when he told Xi Xiao Yue.

The other man was the youngest son, Gu Xi Jian who wore a blue suit with a white lined inner shirt and a black tie. He had his slightly long black hair tied on the back which made him very stylish and young. He had a gentle aura around him with a warm but a bit mischievous smile on his face. He looked cheerful, just like his son Gu Qin Zhen.

The woman beside him was a delicate beauty who had her waist-length hair let down and was wearing a white shirt and black loose pants with a pair of white sandles. She was gentle and calm which soothed others soul with her smile.

They were observing her behaviours and her personality as she greeted them properly in a sweet voice. They really liked this little girl in just the first time meeting her. She was well behaved, neither humble nor arrogant, wasn't ill mannered and wasn't nervous when meeting with people of bug status unlike other children from a poor family nor an orphan like her. Their old father was really still good in his sight when judging people's character. He found himself a good granddaughter and a good daughter for them.

"Father, you have really found such a good little girl. Only meeting for the first time, I already want her as my daughter." said Gu Xi Jian as he smiled warmly at Xi Xiao Yue in half serious, half joking tone.

"Yes, she really is a good girl. She is well behaved and is graceful in her every action like she was born with it. She is even calm and collected in front of unfamiliar people. Really good for a little girl her age." said Gu Xi Ming as he opened his mouth to spurt out very rarely heard praise from his mouth who would always treat his words as gold to the people he didn't know or care.

Grandpa Gu laughed elatedly as he patted Xi Xiao Yue's back lightly in a loving way as he said, "It's good that you two like her too. She truly is a girl with a great future ahead. Treat her like your own daughter."

The two silent women also pulled her to their side and spoke to her as they asked about her likes and dislikes, her hobbies and gave her the gifts they brought for her after they heard about her arrival in the family. Even Gu Xi Ming and Gu Xi Jian spoke from time to time to her in a soft way as if scared to scare the little girl. They were treating her their own daughter with no disdain nor dislike.

They became very close in a short time as they laughed with each other as they doted on her. They really did liked daughters very much ah. She felt very happy and fortunate to be able to become the daughter of this family filled with loving and caring and adorable people who treated her like a family. The scene of them talking and laughing full of joy looked very picturesque. They were all really good looking and kind people ah!

Author's note: Awww, I want a family like that too! It's good that Xi Xiao Yue can now feel the familial love from them.
