James and the king hugged each other and laughed.

"How are you brother? You got slimmer than the last time we met. Are you eating well!" James asked jokingly at the bulging stomach of the king.

"Hahaha....! Stop embarrassing me in front of your future daughter in law! Come on introduce yourself." the King said and pulled the princess Noel in front of him.

"Hello uncle James, how are you doing?" Noel asked with a polite tone.

"Uncle? Did you forgot we came here to choose you a husband! Call him father in law!" the king reprimanded.

Princess Noel didn't say anything but glare at her father.

James laughed and said, "It's okay! First, let her choose her future husband; she might be shy to call me father in law before that!"

"Yes! That's right! Let's go inside! I am tired of traveling for a week!" the King suggested.

The hundred or so Soldiers were told to build a tent and live in there.

James took all of them to the main dining hall where the large table was filled with foods and drinks.

James took all his sons and introduced them to the king. The King only saw Charles since he came to the first born's birthday party. Except for Charles everyone was excited to meet the King and especially the Princess.

When Alex's turn came, James showed a proudful expression like showcasing a rare treasure in front of everyone. The King was confused by his expression, but the most confused one was Princess Noel. She heard from Rose that Alex was a cripple who could not cultivate but seeing Uncle James's proud expression, she had a doubt.

She turned to Rose, but the latter also had the same expression.

James didn't mention that Alex was the disciple of an Immortal; he chose to leave the good thing for the last.

His siblings were looking at him with envy, but only one was looking at him with hatred. It was Dylan; he was the most talented in cultivation until Alex stole the position from him yesterday. He woke up later that day and heard most of the things from his mother.

Dylan's smile froze when he heard someone laughing from behind. He can feel his sibling looking down on him. He didn't make a fuss and left the room with eyes glaring at Alex. Alex didn't even consider him; he just need to pinch to kill him.

Princess Noel and Rose came forward, "Alex, I heard much about you from Rose! I even heard you guys went for a date night. Is that true?" and asked with a smile.

Alex felt a little nervous around her. She had a noble aura around her making anyone new feel a bit nervous for the first time.

After feeling the good vibe from the princess, he started chatting them like a long lost friend. Their laughs echoed inside the hall inciting jealously from the other young masters. Soon, the young ladies of the mansion joined them for a chat leaving Alex as the only male in the group.

On the other side, James revealed how Alex awoke his bloodline and brought him back from death.

"Whhaatt?" the king's shocked voice surprised everyone.

Everyone inside the hall was a cultivator, so they can clearly hear their conversation including Princess Noel and Rose. Rose looked dumbfounded as she looked at Alex. She thought the James recovery was from some precious pill taken from their treasury. Never thought Alex in front of her has fooled her. She looked glaringly at Alex, but he only replied with a smile. Princess Noel understood what was going on between them.

The king came forward and asked Alex to demonstrate his bloodline powers to them. Alex was shy of all the eyes looking at him. He chose to reveal his Pheonix bloodline to make sure his father didn't have any doubts about his identity.

He lifted his palm and summoned a golden colored flame in front of everyone. The entire room suddenly felt a lot warmer than before and shined brightly in front of everyone.

Everyone including King was speechless in front of the beautiful dancing flame on Alex's hands. The king revealed an expression of fear for a second when Alex showed them the fire. He touched a place on his c.h.e.s.t where a scar was hidden.

The most shocked one in front of everyone was James. Seeing those brightly lit flame, he got nostalgic remembering the face of a cold but beautiful woman.

Alex talked for a bit and excused himself to see what Lily and her Mother was doing.

He walked towards his courtyard and found tents build around the space of his courtyard. He heard a lot of laughing sounds coming inside the tents and also inside his house.

At first, he didn't mind, but after seeing a scene in front of him made his blood boil.

Little Lily was carrying a tray with glasses filled with Alcohol while the servants looked at her with a helpless expression.

Lily's face had marks of tears as she served them with Alcohol. Feeling something she turned around and found Alex standing there, she quickly dropped off the tray and dashed towards Alex. The Soldiers got furious, but after seeing Alex they stopped. They clicked their tongue and went inside their tent.

Alex clenched his fist but controlled his anger. He quickly wiped off the tears from her face and returned to his room.

He walked inside and found laughing sounds of four men inside the hall. He found Pamela kneeling on the ground and massaging the legs of a person sitting on the sofa.

"Young Master Jeffery as the son of the Duke, you should be the one qualified to marry the princess not the mongrels inside this remote city." one guy on the sides commented.

"Yes, Young master! I heard the mongrels inside the city are worthless trashes with mediocre cultivation only the guy Dylan from before can be considered okay! I think the princess should also be against the decision and you should take this chance to make her yours." another one commented while looking at Pamela with l.u.s.tful eyes.

The Jeffery had an arrogant expression like the princess is already in his hands. He laughed aloud and kicked Pamela off to refill his drink.

Alex had his head down. He slowly walked towards Pamela and lifted her up from the ground. Pamela felt crying seeing Alex came to the rescue. He gave her Lily and asked them to leave the room.

One guy from the side jumped in anger and threw the beer on Alex's face, "Who the f.u.c.k are you? Don't you know the Young Master Jeffery is currently staying in this courtyard? How dare you come inside without his permission."

Alex didn't react. He still had his head facing down. The surrounding people laughed at Alex but their laughter soon turned into an expression of terror.

The one who threw beer on Alex's face looked at his body getting twisted like a cloth. His hands and left twisted in opposite direction wanting to squeeze out the blood from his body.

His body exploded drenching the people behind with his blood. Everyone looked at him with the expression of terror. Alex slowly opened his eyes which turned into pitch black color with grey color on the pupil.

Suddenly it felt like the time has slowed down for everyone. James and the King felt an ominous feeling like death was nearing them. Everyone inside the mansion started shaking in fear.

Outside, the thunder rolled out like crazy. It looked like the thunder was urging everyone to escape from the city.

James and the King quickly appeared before the courtyard where they felt the anomaly.

The house suddenly was blown into pieces spreading broken wood in all direction. Thankfully James and King stopped the impact from spreading further.

Inside the broken courtyard, only Alex stood there in a pool of blood. Everyone watching the scene was shocked. Alex stood there with his eyes turned into pitch black color, with his hair and body changed into dark grey color giving the vibe of a demon than human. Everyone subconsciously felt fear looking at the pitch black eyes giving an eerie feeling to whoever watches straight into it.

His body was surrounded by grey colored lighting giving off a feeling that it will obliviate anyone touches it.

They looked at the four bodies lying on the ground badly mutilated and charred black. The expression on the face showed the horror they faced before death.

Soon the bodies turned into dust by the sweeping motion of the wind.

Looking at Alex "Demon" was the only word that came to their mind.
