Robot For A Boyfriend

Emily wakes up groggy from the nights prior. She sits up, angry for no apparent reason, other than that she didn't get to hang out with Kaine more. She crawls out of bed and gets dressed, brushing her hair, boiling in unanswered anger.

She walks out of the room in to the dark and empty hallway. Confused, she looks at her phone, surprised that she woke up at 5:30 AM. She walks out to the workshop, turning on the lights, and shutting the door, working on a sudden idea.

After what seems like minutes to Emily, there's a metallic knock on the door. She walks over and opens it to see Kaine kneeling down to look through the small door. "Hello Emily! Boy, you're up early." His screen smiling. "I guess. Just couldn't sleep. What time is it?" Emily replies, scratching her head and smiling. "It is 9:27 AM." Kaine says, peaking over Emily's head to see what she is doing.

Emily pushes Kaine out, still smiling and closing the door behind her. "That's a surprise. I'll show you later." She says, starting to walk to the cafeteria now.
