" Daphne? Daphne, are you alright? Do you want me to take you to, Madam Pomfrey?"

"..."

Ron extended his right arm out towards the stunned girl, but before he could make contact she jumped into him almost knocking him to the ground.

" Yes! Yes! I'll go write an Owl to my father! Oh, we should also tell Hermi -"

" Daphne, could you please not tell anyone for now?"

" What!? Why?"

" Although I've become the Heir to the Prewett Family, my position within the Wizarding Society is non existent. There's also the Volt of Vultures who were eyeing my Family's wealth, I'd hate it if you and your father where caught in the cross hairs of a political battle between me and them."

" Ron... "

Not waiting for her to respond Ron hugged her and softly whispered in her ear.

" Please Daphne, trust me."

Albeit a bit unwilling she slightly nodded to which he hugged her tighter making her blush.

" Thank you, and although we can't announce our engagement. I'd like for us to spend more time together, so we can get used to each other."

Daphne lowered herself a bit, since she was taller than Ron and let him embrace her.

Dinner time was held in the Great Hall, was attended by every student and Professor, so when Ron and Daphne arrived holding hands their was another uproar.

Gossiping whispers hastily filled the Hall, while the pair in question ignored them as they walked to their table. Where a confused Hermione was waiting for them, her expression switching between happiness and regret.

"* Are they...?*"

Awkwardly enough the first to bring up their public show of affection were Ron's three brothers.

" Hey, Ronnie!"

" So does Mom know that--"

" -- you found her a daughter in law?"

" Ron, shows of affection aren't allowed on campus!"

" Sorry, Percy I'll be sure to remember that. As for you two, don't you have any girl-friends?"

When the surrounding Gryffindor's heard Ron's comeback they couldn't help but laugh at the twins. Who quickly tried to down play the situation to no avail.

" Eh!? Was that his attemp at a joke George?"

" I don't know but it wasn't that good right, Fred?"

Knowing that he'd got what he wanted, Ron released Daphne's hand in a very embarrassed manner before taking a seat. As he was doing so he caught three people glancing at him from the corner of his eye.

"* So what are you going to do? Suppress me? Keep me under Surveillance? Or try to use me in your little quarrel?*"

Daphne and Hermione were whispering to each other, at the end of which they hugged each other.

When Ron glanced over his shoulder and saw the two girls hugging, he didn't want to disturb their moment so he fixed himself a plate and began to eat.

After dinner they were again escorted by Penelope, unlike the previous time she didn't ask them questions. Instead she offered to listen to their questions, Ron payed little attention to the others questions.

That was until he thought of something and asked a question.

" Penelope?"

" Yes, Ron?"

" I have a question about the Common Room, and was wondering if you could answer it?"

" About the Common Room?"

" Every house has a Ghost so my question is who and where is our Ghost?"

" Oh, that's right since she rarely appears around I'd forgotten about her. The Ravenclaw Ghost is the Grey Lady, you can usually find her in the top floors of the common room at night or roaming the castle corridors."

" Thank you Penelope."

"* She might know something, but then again she might just want to destroy the Diadem. If I find nothing in the Restricted Section I'll go to her.*"

When they finally arrived at the bronze Door they were once again asked a riddle.

" I'm tall when I'm young and I'm short when I'm old. What am I?"

Not wanting to waste any further time Ron made his way to the front and answered.

" A candle."

" Correct."

Ron quickly entered, having spent time with him his fellow first years weren't shocked and followed him inside. Penelope was a bit amazed by the fact that Ron had become the defacto leader of the first years in two days.

" Percy, your brother is truly fascinating... *"

-

As the night came and dark shrouded the castle, Ron quietly exited the Ravenclaw Common Room and headed to the Seventh Floor.

"* I went through several Spell and Ritual books concerning Dark Magic and haven't found anything, this time I'll go through some Potion books maybe I'll find what I'm looking for there.*"

Headmaster's Office

Inside the grand office, Dumbledore spoke while a black clothed man attentively listened.

" I've spoken with the boy... And you were right Severus, he resembles the Him from before."

" So what will you do? If He was to entice the boy over to his side I'd fear He would gain a perfect pawn."

" Oh, I don't think that would happen. I doubt the boy would ever allow himself to be controlled by anyone, and for that reason I'd like you to keep an eye on him. "

" You want me to look after him? If He finds out that you've placed importance on the boy he won't stop until he figures out why."

" I wonder if that's the case, would He come out of hiding to investigate the boy... "

"* You want to use a boy as bait? Is the stone not enough?*"

Rising from his seat the old Wizard slowly walked over to Snape and placed a hand over his shoulder.

" I'm counting on you Severus."
