RWBY: Fireborn

As Logan left the room, he spotted Tai talking to a nurse at the monitor booth for the rooms. As he got closer, he overheard them talking, about him. While Qrow was filling out paperwork.

Tai: "He's a friend's kid, I'll be watching over him for a while."

Nurse: "Your friend must be happy, to have that much aura in him. And to beat a Beowolf at his age! He must be a child prodigy!"

Qrow: "No, if I remember his aunt correctly, she probably chased him around telling him to dodge."

Logan: "Your right about that. She started when I was 6, She would just tell me to run and duck when she said duck."

Logan commented as he walked up to them. They were surprised to see him moving around so soon. Logan gave the white shopping bag back to Tai.

Logan: "Qrow is not wrong with what he said, and thanks Tai, the clothes fit nicely."

Tai: "Wow, you do have a large amount of aura. Most hunters would be stiff a day or two after draining their aura, like you did. From the way you walk, I'm guessing no stiffness or sores?"

Logan: "Yes, if anything, I feel stronger than before. I could probably take 2 hits form auntie Mel, and keep going. Before, I could only take one before I was down for the count."

Logan just smiled and griped his hand a few times testing his new found strength. Qrow had a small smirk on his face as he finished the paper work. He then left out the door to the hospital while waving to Tai.

Qrow: "I'm gonna go on ahead and check on the brats! Meet you guys at home!"

Tai smiled at Qrow antics, he thanks the nurse, and walks out with Logan. As they leave the hospital, the sun is at the top of the trees. Tai takes his scroll out and checks the time.

Tai: "It's only 6, lets go get you more clothes for now. And I'll show you the town."

Logan: "Thanks, but how much of my things survived the fight?"

Tai: "Well from what I seen, most of your clothes were torn to shreds. Your food was destroyed, Your armor is badly damaged, and weapons were as well. What seems to be a tool-kit survived. You might have to build a new set of armor and weapons for yourself. I know a weapon-smith, She might be able to repair your armor, though I'm not sure about your weapons though. As even I never seen that type of gun before"

Logan: "As long as I have a shop, I can repair them with ease. I have their blueprints memorized. After all, I made them myself."

Tai was skeptical about what Logan had said. He had looked at his gun, If Atlas were to get their hands on it, it would take a few years to reproduce it, he thought. He just smiled, he thought if he is that smart, he is beyond a child prodigy. Tai just continued on with Logan beside him, strolling into town. Stopping here and there to buy clothes, and a quick stop for a light dinner. After the shopping was done, they went in the direction of Tai's home.

When Tai and Logan got to the house, Logan was surprised to see his new home. It was a large two story, long log cabin with dull-red, sheet metal roof in the woods. Off to the side was a large clearing with a sand covered ground. And towards the back was a large shed with a similar roof of the house.

Tai: "Well... its still in one piece. Its almost 8, so Yang and Ruby should be winding down for the night. Come on then, I'll show you the house."

Tai said as he walked toward the front door. As he took a step, the front door bust open and a red blur flew out the door. The blur collided with Tai sending him back a few steppes past Logan. Toppling him to the ground.

Blur: "Daddy!!! Were did you go? What did you fight? Did you save anyone?"

The blur started firing questions, one after another at Tai. Tai smiled and pulled down a hood to revile a young girls head with black, neck-length hair that faded to a rose red at the tips, fair-skin, and silver eyes. Upon a closer look, Logan found that the blur was a little girl wearing a red hoodie, black skirt, and black sneakers.

Tai: "Hey Ruby, your getting faster. Anyway, go get your sister, we have a guest that will be staying with us for a while. I'll tell you later what I did.

Ruby looked around, trying to find the mystery guest her father was talking about. To no avail, Ruby looks at her father, with a look of were plastered on her face. Logan chuckled, walking over to the mound of people, put out his hands, a simple gesture of help.

Logan: "He means me. Hello, my name is Logan Tenebris, its a p.l.e.a.s.u.r.e to meet you."

Logan helped the two of them up. Ruby embarrassed that she missed him when she tackled her father. Tai thanked him as he stood. Ruby quickly dashed back into the house leaving the two there, one puzzled, while the other chuckling at her behavior. Tai told Logan to follow him into the house. Upon entering, Logan was assaulted by a fluffy and furry fuzz ball, knocking him over. Soon Logan could feel something l.i.c.k.i.n.g his face, with panting. Tai laughed once again as he removed the fur ball form Logan's face reveling the mystery attacker to be a black-headed tricolor Corgi, wearing a red collar with a gold pendant bearing a vertical black bone and two black dots on either side.

Tai: "Hahahaha... This here is Zwei, our pet corgi. That was his way of saying hello. Come get up, lets introduce you to the rest of the family."

As Logan got up, Tai lead the way in to the living room of the house. The center of the living room is dominated by a grass green rug, with a dark green couch and matching chair and a wooden, handmade coffee table centered on the rug. Between the couch and chair, on one is a end table with a lamp on it, and at the other end of the couch is Zwei's dog bed. A blond haired girl sat on the sat in the chair with her legs crossed. She wore her hair in pig tails, a light brown shirt with a belt around her waist, black shorts that went past her knees and brown boots with orange socks, a bandana was tied to her neck. And on the couch was Qrow with his legs up on the coffee table, chatting to the blond hair girl. Behind her, the top of a red hood could be seen.

Tai: "Okay Yang, you and Ruby are the only ones who has yet to meet our new family member. Come on and introduce yourselves."

Yang: "Heya, I'm Yang. I like music and partying, and going out with a Yang!"

The pig-tail girl got up and approached Logan. As she introduced herself, she made a pun that was just g.r.o.a.n.e.d at.Tai and Qrow just face-palmed themselves. She was cheerful, energetic and a bright young lady. Ruby collected herself, and walked forward after Yang.

Ruby: "hello... I'm Ruby. I'm sorry... about... before... outside when I didn't see you. I...umm.. like sweets and... i umm... love stories..."

Ruby was shy, but Logan could tell that she has a hard time making friends. Smiling to encourage her showed that he didn't mind what had happened. Logan being nice, introduced himself to help alleviate her shyness.

Logan: "Hello, my name is Logan Tenebris, my parents asked your father to take care of me while they are away on a mission. I like helping people out, sweets as well, having fun with those close to me, and I have a good memory that has helped with my dad's store. What I mean is that anything I have heard, seen, or read, I have memorized. I have many practical skills as well. I can cook, clean, and many others as well. I also d.e.s.i.r.e to be a hunter, I wish to help people were ever they may be. No matter who, no matter what."

Yang and Ruby smiled, as did Logan. Tai explained that while Logan's parents are hunters, they own a weapon shop as well. That they were currently on a mission that would take awhile to complete. They chatted for awhile, until everyone was tired. Yang took Ruby to bed, Qrow followed shortly after, and Tai showed the room that Logan would stay in. As Tai said good night and left the room, Logan crawled into bed; and slept like a log.
