Sasha's Dream

Chapter 12 - A Dream

As the night went on, Doko and Lily had conversed about a rather important topic. As for Sasha, she was sound asleep. She was also dreaming. She dreamt a dream she had forgotten long ago.

It was pitch black everywhere. Sasha looked around trying to find the slightest ray of light.

"Where am I? It's so dark here..."

Suddenly, amongst the darkness, she saw a small vision. It was a classroom filled with children. Among the children, she saw herself when she was 7 years old. Before the children, was an aged teacher sitting on a chair holding a book.

"So, class, I'm going to read you a story book today." The teacher said out loud to the children.

"Long ago, there was a world unlike this one. It was surrounded by beauties and wonders. The water there was as clear and sparkling as a crystal and the trees as pale as pearls. There were the White Forest, the inbounding falls and so on. The people there used to live in peace and harmony. Their leader was a fairy and their protector was a blue beast. There was also a being who could control nature. All of them lived happily.

But, one day, misfortune fell upon the world. People became suspicious of others. They started to fight among themselves. Consequently, various disasters occurred throughout the land. Darkness had surrounded the world.

Then, with the leadership of the fairy, the strongest three fought against the evils and restored peace in the world. After that, all of them lived happily ever after. The end."

Soon afterwards, little Sasha stood up out of excitement and said,"Wow! The fairy is so cool! I want to be the fairy when I go to that world!"

The other children stared at her. Hearing her silly wish, they started to laugh at her saying that it was not real.

And then...

Sasha opened her eyes. She sat up almost immediately. She looked around and found herself in bed in a room of Doko's house. She realized soon that it was just a dream.

The ray of the sun entered the room through the window warming up her surroundings. She looked down and emerged in thought.

"What a strange dream," she said to herself, "Yet, it feels so nostalgic."

Then she looked out the window and thought that she could not sleep anymore that day though it was very early.

"I think I'll go out and have some fresh air. Doko might not be awake this early."

So, she got herself ready and walked towards the front door. While going, she noticed Doko sitting before the window. His eyes were closed. Sasha never saw Doko sleeping. So, she just stood there wondering about so many things.

Moments later, Doko's ears twitched a little as if he had heard something. Then he opened his eyes slowly and looked straight at her. He seemed a little surprised to see Sasha awake so early. Without any delay, he gave her a sweet and gentle smile.

"I wonder if I actually met him somewhere before other than my drawings..." Sasha thought.

He came down from beside the window and went to her.

"Sasha! You woke up quite early today. Did you sleep well? You look pale."

Soon, she realized that she really did seem a little pale. She thought that it might be because of the dream. But, she did not want to inform him about such a silly dream.

"Oh, no. I slept well. I'm fine," she said.

Doko was convinced with her reply.

"Well, I'm glad that you woke up early. Please come with me. I want to take you somewhere."

"Okay..."
