Sasha's Dream

After that incident, according to their plan, they went to the village and worked as usual. Few more days went like that. Working, playing and getting thanked. Sasha's acceptance steadily grew. But, amongst all the good things happening to her, she couldn't help but worry about some facts.

She continued to have weird dreams almost every night. There were only two dreams which she had repeatedly. One was about the teacher's story. Another one was a bit different.

One particular day...

After a long and bit of a tiring day, Sasha went to bed as she generally would. Soon, she had a vision in her sleep. Perhaps it was a memory of her past which she had long forgotten. Or, perhaps it was only the mixture of all events.

Her appearance was herself when she was a kindergartner. She found herself surrounded by thick fog. Anything could barely be seen. After looking around her with all her might, she finally could see something at a distance. She started to run towards it. The more she ran, the more it grew big. At last when she reached it, she found out that it was a mighty beast many times larger than her.

It was covered with blueish fur. Its ears and tail were unusually big and fluffy. She could also see a black collar with a black shiny crystal amidst its furry c.h.e.s.t.

"You..." she said while looking at it. After a short pause, she completed her sentence, "You are Doko, right?"

The majestic beast looked at her and replied in a gentle voice, "Yes, I am. But who might you be?"

"I'm Sasha Adrene. Let's become friends, Doko!"

Just when she said that, the fog and mist around them disappeared instantly with a sudden beam of sparkling light.

"The fog... It's gone..." Doko, as Sasha addressed him, said with amazement.

As there was no fog there anymore, She could finally see her surroundings. it was a bright atmosphere with light green fields and hills. The sky was light indigo followed by the brilliant white clouds looking as fluffy as cotton.

"Wow! This place is so beautiful without the fog!" She said without any delay. Her childish way of expressing her thoughts and her innocence charmed him. Well, it was all in her dream. But, if Sasha were to think about it, she might have figured out that it was one of the reasons why Doko had offered her something pleasant shortly afterwards.

"Would you like to look around this world?"

"I'd love to!" She said without any hesitation.

"Then hop on!" Doko insisted.

After that, Doko had Sasha get on him and jumped so high that he started flying. Sasha could see everything from up there. The gentle but strong and sweet wind kept on bumping into them. As they flew, Doko introduced her to all the wonders of the land. As for Sasha, she wasn't afraid of heights at all and was highly enjoying the ride.

After a long tour, they finally landed on a river bank full with long light green grass. Sasha admired the natural beauty right after their landing.

"The falls, White Forest, the village— everything is so fantastic! I want to stay in this world forever, Doko." Sasha said.

Doko was happy to hear that she liked the world. But, he felt uneasy when he heard her d.e.s.i.r.e.

"But you should return to your world, little one."

"I don't wanna go back! My world is the worst. Everyone is mean to me. Nothing is beautiful. So, I don't wanna leave."

Hearing her answer, Doko closed his eyes. Suddenly, he started to shine very brightly which was so much that Sasha could not look.

"I see," he said gently.

When the light finally went away, she could see again. But the beast that she knew wasn't standing before her anymore. It was human-like being with the same ears and tail as the beast's. She became confused as she looked at him smiling so gently.

"Sasha... You shouldn't say such things. Everyone has responsibilities. I promise I'll show you more of this world. Until then...live. Realise your responsibilities and learn to love your world."

Sasha opened her eyes and gave an unsettling expression. She wasn't too surprised. It was the same dream, after all. Slowly she sat up, thought about it for a bit, tried to remember  every details and finally started to get ready for another normal and positive day.
