Targaryen Who Turned Dragon

Chapter 10 - Dragon God's Legacy

At last... no more stone warriors.

Then the ground rumbled again. A stone warrior far bigger, and probably stronger, appeared. He wielded a colossal grey sword that could probably cut me in half. This should be fun.

"Hey, Dragon, I thought I finished the last wave."

"I forgot to mention the General... my bad. Well now that you know, kill him and finish your first trial."

What a joke.

The General slammed his sword down, towards me. Oh no, you don't. I step to the side and stab my sword deep into his c.h.e.s.t. Sadly, it wasn't enough. He grabbed my sword and shattered it with his b.a.r.e hand. I quickly retreated while he charged forward. I grabbed a spear off the ground and threw it right into his t.h.i.g.h. I picked up another spear and threw it at his other t.h.i.g.h. The General managed to block the spear and counter with his own spear.

I was caught off guard... the spear hit me right in the stomach. I fell to the floor and my blood sprayed all over the trial grounds as I took the spear out.

Damn... this isn't looking too good.

"REEEEEEEE"

The General saw his chance... and he took it. The colossal sword was aiming to cut me in half. Due to my Sharingan, the attack seemed so slow but my body wouldn't move. The sword was getting ever closer to my flesh... I could only try one thing.

PERFECT Counter!

I was on my feet and safe from the colossal sword's wrath. I took a deep breath and let it all out. The air ignited and turned into waves of flame. The General was caught in the flames and turned to ash. I fell to the floor from exhaustion. The first trial was finally complete.

"Well done. You are the first..."

The Dragon congratulated me, unfortunately, I was out cold.

~

I woke up in a forest... again, but this forest was definitely different. There was a sheet of paper on the floor, I picked it up and read it.

"The Second Trial has begun. You have been given 365 days to kill 99,999 profound beasts. Do not fret, this endless plane has countless beasts to kill. Get to it."

A hundred thousand?! How is this even fair? That's almost three hundred beasts every day! And why is it one off a hundred thousand? You might as well round it up. Damn lizard. Well... I did kill a thousand stone warriors with one breath, so this shouldn't be that hard. I should get to it.

~

A hundred and fifty days later, I completed the second trial. There lay a dead profound beast, it was my 99,999th kill. It had three holes where I punched it. Since I didn't have a weapon I had to use my fists, which were surprisingly strong. I could punch a hole through a bloody tree!

The Dragon was nowhere to be seen, so I decided to cook the beast. I got some branches from a tree, breathed a bit of fire and started heating the meat. Then I ate the meat and took a nap. When I woke up I was back at the trial grounds. The Azure Dragon was floating in the air.

"Well done, you have finished the second trial. You did it in half the time provided... you wish to leave as quickly as possible, am I not correct?"

I nod.

"Of course, I don't wish to spend more time than necessary doing this trial."

"I see... well, you are in luck, the third trial is the shortest of them all. It is a test of character."

"A test of character... alright, let's do it."

"As you wish."

I blinked and the scenery changed. I was in a house... if I remember correctly, it's some noble's house. He let Viserys, Daenerys and myself stay in his house as guests for a few days. Then he kicked us out... a kind man indeed. I looked around and saw Daenerys sleeping and a knife on the table. Then I questioned the purpose of this trial.

"What am I supposed to do in this trial? Kill... Daenerys...?"

"You have a quick mind, you are correct. If you kill her, it will show me your ambition and dedication. You would be rewarded with a Bone Marrow which would generate countless amounts of Dragon blood... you would become the strongest cultivator. A small sacrifice for such strength."

"What kind of messed up trial is this? Let me give my opinion on that proposal: I would kill you faster than I would even think of accepting your offer. I would never hurt my own family members, especially when I only have two left! If that's seriously the last trial, you can keep your stupid dragon blood and bone marrow to yourself."

The Dragon laughed. I didn't know if that was a good thing or a bad thing. If that Dragon wished to end me, I'm pretty certain I wouldn't come out alive.

"Very well... you.... pass."

It took a solid second to let that sink in.

"What...?"

"I said you pass. I told you it was a test of character, did I not? If you took on my proposal, you would have failed. My Legacy will not fall onto someone who is evil at heart. I'm glad you passed this trial if you were to fail... it would have been unfortunate, to say the least. To think that the first person to pass all three of my trials would be a silver-haired boy who calls me Lizard...it's time for your reward."

The environment changed back to the trial grounds.

"Nine drops of my blood, the Body of a True Dragon, V.i.r.g.i.n Dragon Seed... and since you are my first, and most likely last, successor... I shall also grant you the Dragon God Marrow and Soul."

Huh? What the hell is a Dragon God Marrow, Soul and V.i.r.g.i.n Dragon Seed?

"You seem confused... the V.i.r.g.i.n Dragon Seed passes some of my blood to the first person you have s.e.x with. The Dragon God Marrow makes the bones like fine steel and the marrow like an impregnable fortress, it will also generate new dragon blood and grant impressive regenerative capabilities. The Marrow and True Body will make you very, extremely, hard to kill. The Dragon God's Soul will refine your spirit and soul, giving you powerful mental strength far surpassing that of ordinary humans. Your soul will also gain the attribute of the Dragon God from this! Do you understand now?"

That's a lot of information to take in... but I'm not called a genius for no reason.

"Yes, I understand now."

"I promised to move you to somewhere safe... but now I believe that is unnecessary."

I looked at the Dragon, confused.

"What do you mean by that?"

"You will see... I hope to see you in a few years, all grown up."

Then I was surrounded by light... and I returned to the same forest. The only thing that was different was me... I felt stronger, quicker and smarter. A silverback wolf was staring at me like before, but this time I wasn't scared at all. Interestingly enough, the wolf ran away from me! The Dragon was right.

After that, I spent some time getting used to my new body. I also caught a silverback wolf and cooked him, since I was hungry. It was getting dark so I went to sleep next to the fire. It was like the second trial but I only killed one beast instead of seven hundred.

Then I had my first dream since the storm. It was about a world where the storm never happened. I would have defeated the rebel navy with ease, effectively ending the rebellion. Then I would have strengthened my hold over Stepstones and after that, I would have raided Westeros and reunited with Viserys and Daenerys. Oh, how things would have different.

Then all of that turns to ash and my status is shown.

Then I wake up.

The system has changed... interesting. What the hell is True Profound and Spirit Profound? My first guess is it's something related to cultivation and this new world. What do I do now... I can't just stay in this forest forever. Didn't the Transcended Being say something about letting my companions live... maybe I could find Robb and Izanami if I looked around. No... it's too late. A hundred and fifty-two days have passed since I first stepped here, chances are they either died or left the forest. Sigh... whatever the case may be, I have to find out more about this world since I'm going to be here for a very long time.

I cooked another wolf (I really have something against them, don't I) and set out.

My goal was to get out of the forest and find (some kind of) civilisation.
