Targaryen Who Turned Dragon

Chapter 182 - A Hundred Years

After that little dance, the court did get a bit more gossipy for quite obvious reasons. The Celestial Dragon Emperor's favour was no small thing and rather hard to come by nowadays. Furthermore, the person who had gained his favour was the beautiful lady Myrcella of House Lannister.

There was a banquet and several other events before the day officially ended.

'It seems that I have a preference for golden hair and emerald eyes... hmph.'

"Dancing with a Lannister... you never thought that would ever happen, eh?"

'My hatred towards House Lannister is mostly from Tywin, who has been dead for over a decade now. Tyrion and Kevan have been excellent subjects... Jaime had to kill my grandfather or King's Landing wouldn't be here... Joffrey was quite defiant but I've given him a suitable punishment. I believe that House Lannister will be redeemed by Tommen and Myrcella in the coming years as they are very much unlike their elder brother.'

"If your grandfather was wiser, he would have married your father to Cersei Lannister. I doubt that the Usurper's Rebellion would have ever happened and, even if it did, your house would have emerged victorious. Then your father would be King, followed by you... oh. You wouldn't even be born, hahahahaha..."

'How amusing, Rotias.'

"She might not even bear any Targaryen children... oh my, Viserys might have to state his claim against the false golden-haired 'Targaryens'."

'My father cannot be compared to Robert Baratheon.' Aerion bluntly replied. 'At least one, if not all, would have the Blood of the Dragon.'

Aerion was first to leave the hall, turning to Maegor's Holdfast. This led to his subjects eventually dispersing as well. The royal apartments were quiet as he strolled into his bedchamber. It was mostly dark until Aerion placed a few purple crystals from the eighth floor for light.

'The Creation God Realm is all I require..'

Aerion laid down on his bed and wondered how the Divine Palace looked like. He already made an early prediction that the Transcendent Being had some sort of challenge awaiting him. One that would threaten his life, of course.

"It looks exactly like what you think, divine and imposing. Made out of bright and shining colours which could blind any mortal with a single glance. It's a dimension which is completely unaffected by the calamities of the past and so, many powerful beings reside within it. These powerful beings are His courtiers and subjects."

'How strong are these 'powerful beings', exactly?'

"As strong as He requires them to be. Usually, they are between the True God Realm and Creation God Realm. There were a couple of cases where a few of them were granted the powers of an Ancestral God but it was temporary. Amusingly enough, he considers us nine Ancestral Gods 'irreplaceable'."

Aerion chuckled. 'Is that still true after I replaced everyone but you and Raela?'

"Their legacy still lives on through their avatars," Rotias replied. "They have not been replaced fully as their divine power still exists in its original form."

'I see.'

He heard several footsteps before the doors to his bedchamber were opened. Six figures entered as the doors were locked.

"Looks like getting a larger bed was a wise decision." Rotias laughed. "Good luck, I'll be taking a well-deserved nap."

"You seemed to be fond of Myrcella Lannister," Izanami stated. "Hmph, she was definitely fond of you."

Aerion shrugged. "It would have been rude of me to reject her hand."

"You could have kindly rejected her, Aerion. It seems to me that you are unable to reject any beauty that comes your way." Daenerys stated. "However, she does seem quite pleasant, unlike most Lannisters."

"Hmm, do you plan on marrying her as well?" Margaery inquired.

"It was just a dance." Aerion shook his head. "But I do find her quite charming. Perhaps, in the future..."

"Hmph, I expected no less." Huan Caiyi replied.

"You are all focusing on an irrelevant topic at this time." Tai Xai stated before laying down beside Aerion. "It has been a long week for the Emperor and we're speaking of some lady who danced with him for a few minutes. Though, I wouldn't mind serving him by myself so you may leave if you wish..."

'The first wife has the greatest wisdom, it seems.' Aerion smiled.

"Unfortunately, you have to share." Feng Xue'er joined in.

"Hmph, I wonder how you'll manage."

"This Dragon Emperor has a... mythical... physique," Aerion answered Haun Caiyi as Tai Xia was already completing her duties.

"LET ME IN, YOU FOOLS OR I WILL SMASH YOUR HEADS IN."

The Dragonsguard guarding the gates of the Red Keep scoffed. One drew his sword, well prepared to draw some blood. "Such a loud and overbearing personality for someone so weak."

"Hold." A captain who appeared beside Robert stopped his blade. "This person here is Robert Baratheon, the Usurper. He should not be killed so easily when His Divine Grace spared him."

"The Usurper? If so, he is an exile and should be killed on the spot for trespassing into these lands." The Dragonsguard member lowered his sword, slightly.

"Yes, but His Grace may have to make an exception. The news of his children not being his... it certainly struck a nerve. I believe that His Grace will understand that and allow it this once, which is why I brought him here."

"To do what, shout at his 'wife' and interrupt the main hall?" The Dragonsguard member frowned.

The captain smiled before opening the gates. "Think about it a little more. You'll see. You may enter, Robert."

"Think about it... hm."

Robert Baratheon entered the hall and, indeed, interrupted the main hall. "WHERE IS THE WHORE?"

He had regained his shape through the many battles in Essos as he fulfilled his dream of becoming the Sellsword King. The Cities of Essos were free from his wrath as they had the protection of the Emperor so he had to find wars elsewhere, the more eastern side of Essos.

Aerion sat atop the Iron Throne and his gaze immediately moved to Robert Baratheon. "Oh, Cersei is somewhere in Casterly Rock. Now that you're here..."

"Take me there."

"Why would I do that? My friend, you should learn to move on."

"Move on... move on? My honour, my pride... it was all thrown away within a single announcement of yours. What would you do if you were Robert Baratheon, dragon spawn?"

Aerion frowned. "Everyone, scatter."

After a minute or so, Aerion appeared before Robert.

'He's shorter than me now.'

"Don't call me by that bizarre name ever again, you fool."

Suddenly, his knees bent under Aerion's pressure. His violent eyes looked into Robert's as he gave his judgement. "By charging in here, you've broken our treaty from some time ago. But the circ.u.mstances... they are understandable. In truth, I pity you."

"I don't need your pity... I need justice."

"Justice for your honour..."

"If I were still King, I would have had her killed, along with the bastards... with my own hands."

"Oh, my, you have not changed. You let your rage consume you once more." Aerion looked ever so slightly sorrowful. "I wanted you to stand beside me against the Seven Kingdoms until the Lannisters took you out of my hands. With you, I would have had the North, Stormlands, Riverlands and Dorne at my side. The Vale too, if Jon Arryn was still alive. The Reach would join the leading side, my own, and only the Westerlands, Iron Islands and Crownlands would remain. The Crownlands would be divided, however, and I would easily sweep through them all, eventually reclaiming my rightful place as King."

"All of this... from one man. But I knew that making you bend, especially to a Targaryen, was not so simple. In truth, it was impossible unless I came to know your true wishes and we built a powerful bond. Alas, I fell into a storm and the Lannisters freed you." Aerion laughed. "Now, however, I can make you bend quite easily."

The Emperor.

"Acknowledge me as your Emperor."

He bent the knee this time, without the need for any pressure. "As you wish."

"Now you will reclaim your honour through other means... not by killing your wife and her children. You will do so by serving me and proving your worth amongst the Legion of Fire. I don't require the Drunkard King or Sellsword King... I require the Demon of the Trident."

Robert nodded. "The Demon of the Trident you will have, Your Grace."

"Good." Aerion smiled. "House Baratheon has been doing well in your absence, with Stannis at its head. Renly will remain as the jester of the family while you will become the warrior you always wanted to be. Your marriage with Cersei Lannister will be abolished immediately as well, you may choose another wife later or continue whoring yourself around."

Robert laughed. "You know me too well, Your Grace. How about a drink to start the afternoon?"

"A spar first." Aerion shook his head. "You are still so awfully weak despite appearing stronger."

After the unification, AC (After Conquest) and BC (Before Conquest) became the general way to number years in Primal Chaos to avoid confusion between the two callenders. The Celestial Dragon Empire was officially named to the Valyrian Empire of Primal Chaos. After his thirtieth nameday in the early days of 310 AC, Dragon Emperor Aerion I Targaryen went on to marry six ladies in swift fashion, effectively doubling his number of wives within a single year.

The great honour of being his Seventh wife was granted to Qianye Ying'er, who was quite pleased with the result. His eighth was Shui Meiyin, ninth Mu Xuanyin, tenth Jasmine, eleventh Shen Xi and lastly, Chi Wuyao.

In 315 AC, Dragon Emperor Aerion I Targaryen married Myrcella of House Lannister. Jaime and Joffrey Lannister were temporarily released from their duties as members of the Night's Watch to attend the wedding, where Robert Baratheon completely obliterated the former Kingsguard in a duel.

As much as Jon Snow rejected his offer of bearing the Targaryen name, Aerion managed to break past that after forming an inseparable bond. Indeed, they were brothers bound by blood. Soon enough, he was named Aegon Targaryen and brought to his rightful place as a prince of the Valyrian Empire. Jaime Lannister replaced him as Lord Commander of the Watch right after.

The years passed rather swiftly as Aerion focused on his cultivation after his four children had fully m.a.t.u.r.ed. However, another was born on the very first day of 400 AC. Helaena Targaryen, the daughter of Aerion Targaryen and Izanami. Upon her birth, Primal Chaos itself shook for hours on end. Many star realms faced devastating countless storms and other calamities all at once.

The storm ended as suddenly as it came. Frighteningly enough, Helaena Targaryen was born with the Eyes of God which made her a little too strong for a child. However, she controlled her powers quite well and didn't cause much trouble even in her earlier years. Though, she was quite willful, a common trait among the Dragon's children.

Primal Chaos shook twice more in 410 and 412 AC. Visenya, daughter of Qianye Ying'er, and Jaehaerys, son of Myrcella Lannister. Visenya swiftly grew into a heavenly beauty among heavenly beauties, outshining all. Her parents stood at the very pinnacle in that regard, after all. Her talent was greater than most of her half-siblings, except for Helaena and Daeron who were superior in that regard.

Then came Jaehaerys, who took many qualities from both of his parents. He was kind and very courteous, unlike his prideful siblings. He did not lack ambition but was content nonetheless, understanding that his two elder brothers were likely to be the heirs, if not Helaena. This led to him being a care-free young man, who did as his heart d.e.s.i.r.ed since the throne did not matter to him. Still, he wished to be of some use to the Targaryen Dynasty and not be known as a useless prince. Instead of focusing on combat, something the Dynasty did not lack in the slightest, he decided to walk the other path. The path of a diplomat, steward and ruler.

Aerion opened his eyes.

'The Creation God Realm... at last.'
