Rhaxtyx walked in the corridors of the lord's mansion. The fight between him and Katharina came to a quite an eye-catching end. The explosion was more than he anticipated so without spending anymore time he entered the mansion.

The mansion had 3 floors and it took a lot of space in the surrounding area. The corridor was grand and there were expensive decorations everywhere. Oil paintings of people hung on the walls, armor suits standing at equal intervals and vases.

"Wow. This guy really like to show off. This is the first corridor after the door and look at it." (Rhaxtyx)

Rhaxtyx being Rhaxtyx, began touching and investigating them close up, getting every information possible about them carved in his brain.

"The design doesn't really change world to world huh. Maybe the finer details. Ooh what's that."

He kept on going like that. Meanwhile he was not alone in the mansion. Somewhere on the third floor, lord of Vulca City, Baron Herald Nymann was looking at a glass orb. This glass orb was held by a cloaked figure and was currently showing Rhaxtyx within it.

"Is he an idiot? This is the what, twentieth suit of armor he looked at? And you said he killed Kalim and Katharina? Stop joking around." (Baron Herald)

"It really is like that my lord. I'm afraid, he is quite the opposite from what we see now. Powerful individuals always have different personalities after all." (Commander of the First Knight Regiment Knight Captain Reginald)

"If you say it then it must be true. And if that is the case then I don't want him snooping around. Take care of it, Reggie."

"As you will. You! Take twenty men and stop him."

"B-b-but sir-"

"Did I stutter, 'knight'?"

"Y-yes sir."

With clacking, the knight ran out of the room to gather men.

"Are you sure about this Reggie?"

"They will die for sure my lord, but that also means they can buy us time to properly prepare for that demon."

"I see. Good thinking! That's why I have you as the Knight Captain."

"You flatter me my lord."

Baron Herald then gave out orders to prepare for a fight. They put traps all over the mansion and readied various magical traps as well. There were plenty of mages under his command so their preparations went smoothly. While they were doing all this, the person they were expecting finally found the stairs for the second floor.

"Whew! This place is like a labyrinth! It took me this long to find these stairs." (Rhaxtyx)

"No it was because you spend your time like an idiot!" (Yggdrasil)

"Come on don't be mean! I have to gather information about everything right?"

"You literally don't! These kinds of stuff you don't need at all! And didn't you get a blacksmith to travel with you? You can use him at that if necessary!"

"Oh right! There was Roman. I forgot about him."

"How can you forget him when he has that much presence, especially when sleeping? That snore is nightmare fuel."

"Really? I never noticed."

"It's maybe you snore as well?!"

"I don't snore."

"Yes you do!"

"Can you prove it?"

"How am I supposed to prove it to you?!"

"Well if you can't then it is not real."

"What kind of a reasoning is that?!"

*Clatter clatter*

As Rhaxtyx ascended the stairs he heard people running and metal ringing.

"Looks like they finally made a move. I was getting bored, looking at the same thing every time." (Rhaxtyx)

"Then don't!" (Yggdrasil)

"The demon is here! Surround him!" (Soldier)

"Here we go again."

Rhaxtyx gripped his sword and looked around him. There were twenty enemy soldiers around him, all wearing the exact same armor with the same shields and swords. He had a smile hung on his face and this got wider as he saw the facial expressions of these foot soldiers.

Their teeth were clenched and their eyes were wide. Their grips on their weapons were so tight that their hands turned yellow and their armor were still making sounds even though they were staying still. Yes they were afraid. They heard rumors and talks about this demon in front of them. How he killed one of the strongest fighters and mages in the city by himself. And now they were facing him. No they were forced to face him. And they knew they wouldn't see the sun tomorrow. While they were trying to bring their courage up, the demon spoke.

"So? Are you just going to stand there? If you are going to attack me then do it already. I have a meeting scheduled with the city lord. I'm a busy man." (Rhaxtyx)

"Hiing! H-h-ha! HAAAAA!"

"With his remark, one of the soldiers finally made the first move He brandished his swords and charged at Rhaxtyx. His moves were all over the place because of his fear and even Rhaxtyx could dodge it easily. And dodge he did.

Rhaxtyx took a step sideways and let the man pass by him, swinging his sword as he passed. His sword hit true and entered the man's waist. With a painful scream, the soldier fell to the ground and started rolling, spewing out blood everywhere. Seeing their comrade on the ground in pain, the other soldiers were finally convinced enough to make a move and attacked together.

Rhaxtyx wanted to do a cool trick with his sword, spinning around and cutting anyone that came close but his sword was still inside the first man so he started chanting.

{Go fast, at the speed of sound, Sonic Boom!}

*Roar!*

His roar pushed the soldiers back and gave him enough time to launch a few {Firebolt} spells at them. This claimed the lives of five people instantly, launching them to the walls with burned armor and flesh. Some who were still courageous enough to charge at him still were got killed by Rhaxtyx's Shadow Arts. He would control his, sometimes their, shadows to snap their necks and kill them quickly.

He was showing mercy by killing them quickly actually. They were bound by orders so this was the best he could do to them. His chants were fast and his spells were faster. Every hit would take a life. Even in death these soldiers were scared. These soldiers as well as ones who were watching them.

Baron Herald was shocked at the efficiency Rhaxtyx was showing and his Knight Captain was even more shocked and was thinking he misjudged Rhaxtyx's danger level. Rhaxtyx was done after a couple of minutes. He had almost no scratches on him apart from the one time he was careless and misstepped into the way of one of the soldiers and got hurt.

"Too bad they had to be my enemies." (Rhaxtyx)

"Don't tell me you regret killing these people." (Yggdrasil)

"They were just soldiers bound by rules. Although I don't know if they were cruel to the slaves."

"They probably were Rhax. They probably were. That's how any world works."

"Maybe you are right. But they are dead so there's not much I can do if they are innocent. Let's go to the boss room slowly, shall we?"

Rhaxtyx once again started searching for the city lord. He spent plenty of time in the second floor as well, looking at things and investigating them. He even found a secret room! That room contained money and various precious things but these held almost no significance for Rhaxtyx.

"I don't sense anything magical in this pile apart form that useless ring that gives you a protective membrane made of mana." (Rhaxtyx)

"There are plenty of people that would kill for such an item."

"But it is useless to me!"

If you are done then get going! You spend enough time as is."

"Fine fine. Where are those stairs?"

It took him half an hour to find the stair to the third floor. He thoroughly searched the second floor and found nothing of interest for him. When he ascended the stairs, he entered another corridor. This floor was more house like and was fitted for living instead of showing off.

"Finally something normal."

When he turned a corner, he saw a barricade of soldiers, perfectly blocking his way.

"Do you ever end? Seriously where do you guys come from?!" (Rhaxtyx)

"I am Knight Captain Reginald, the Commander of the First Knight Regiment. You have entered this estate without permission and attacked the residents of this city. This is a crime punishable with death. You also have white hair and red eyes, a common trait for those of demon blood or demon kin. We shall execute you in the name of all that is holy and sacred. Any last words, demon?"

"That was a mouthful. Seriously all my enemies say similar things. You really have to tell me if you guys have a manual or something." (Rhaxtyx)

"Interesting choice for last words."

"Look I don't want to do this anymore. So let's just do this, I'm here to kill your city lord and free the slaves. You are here, waiting to kill me. Why don't we combine these two and have our ways!"

"What nonsense are you spouting?!"

"I'm telling you that we can fight in the room where the piggy lord is in!"

"P-piggy!? You filthy thing, how dare you speak about our lord like that?!"

"Hey it rhymes! City lord, piggy lord."

"You!"

"Anyway consider it. I don't want to waste any more time."

After taking in a deep breath, Reginald was calm again and thought about the thing he said. They were powerful and he got every man left in the mansion there, approximately fifty so sixty men. He thought it was hardly enough to buy some time and tire him out so what he said was not that bad for them either. If they could have the help of city lord in the fight, they could have an easier time.

Just as he was thinking these thoughts, a man came from behind and whispered something to his ear. His eyes shined and a smile appeared on his face. He looked at Rhaxtyx and spoke.

"Very well demon. We shall accept your words. Follow me. We will directly go to the city lord. He is expecting you."

"Something decent at last."

Rhaxtyx, Knight Captain Reginald and the platoon walked in the corridors for about ten minutes until they reached the gates of the main office. The gates were big and looked heavy. It needed four people to push or pull to move the door. It had beautiful carvings on it depicting the history of the kingdom and its main events.

"The artist must've been very talented." (Rhaxtyx)

"You at least understand art. Yes she was. The person that did this door was one of the most prominent historians and artists of her time. She simply demanded to be called Mel." (Reginald)

After he spoke, Reginald gave the signal for doors to be opened and walked inside after they were moved. Rhaxtyx also followed him and he was followed by the rest of the platoon. The doors closed behind them.

The inside was grand, it looked like a royal court at a capital city. There was a big space in the middle for audiences and there were seats on the either side of the room. The room had a very high ceiling to cut the room in half so there could be two floors. In the middle of all this was a single seat. It was truer to call it a throne actually. And on it sat a middle-aged human male with luxurious clothing.

"I can finally meet you, demon. I am Baron Herald Nymann, Lord of Vulca. For what reason have you come to my presence?"

"Nice to make your acquaintance. I am Rhaxtyx, the God of Magic and I'm here to kill you and free these slaves."

"To kill me and free the slaves? Haha! Good luck with that. And what did you say, God of Magic? That kind of thing is only possible with the fairy race whom have the most mana aptitude. Don't try to deceive yourself boy and surrender! If you beg maybe I can forgive you your life and make you my eternal slave."

"Your eternal slave? I'm sorry I must've heard wrong. Do you really think you can make me your slave?! I heard quite a lot of sh*t back in the day but this! This takes the top prize in bullsh*t competition! I'm not here to waste words so let's get straight to the point shall we?!"

"A direct man! I like it. I'll have my fun with you demon! Men! To arms!"
