The Chronicles Of Rhaxtyx

There were about forty people inside the room apart from Rhaxtyx. The large space provided a lot of space and movement space so Rhaxtyx was using it fully.

*Clang!*

"He's running left, cut him!"

"What the f*ck are you guys doing!? He's not there!"

It was truly a chaotic fight. Rhaxtyx would jump around, pass the soldiers and attack them with various spells and the Shadow Arts. As soon as Baron Herald gave his order, his troops charged at Rhaxtyx with the exception of the Knight Captain. He was still by the side of the Baron, protecting him and watching every move Rhaxtyx makes.

Every spell took a soldier's life. Rhaxtyx would run around, trying to dodge and counter attack but he would get hit a lot. His regeneration was not this active since a long time ago. There were too many attacks that even his clothes were mostly destroyed. He wanted to take the wizards down first as their support spells would cause him trouble tremendously but those affected by those spells would stop him and cause him to back off.

"Hahaha! It has been a while since I moved my body this much! Come on! Give me new experience! Give me new stimulation!" (Rhaxtyx)

He would laugh and charge at his enemies while disregarding everything.

*Swish*

"Blergh! Sh*t that was deep!" (Rhaxtyx)

"What is he?!"

"Why- why won't you die!?"

"Hahaha! You can't kill a God, mortals! You are way too weak!"

That was one of the deepest wounds Rhaxtyx ever received in that fight and it healed in a matter of seconds.

After he heard that chant, Rhaxtyx saw silver chains come out of the ground and rush at him. He fired a {Firebolt} or two at them but he couldn't even hit them properly. These chains were alluring and their silver hue made Rhaxtyx look at them uncontrollably. He felt a warn feeling on his leg and when he looked, he saw that those beautiful silver chains were latched on his legs and were burning him. Smoke could be seen coming out of his legs.

"Ffffffaaaaaaaaaaa! That hurts! But it is an interesting spell as well! Thanks!" (Rhaxtyx)

"Wha-what is wrong with him?! He was supposed to be in so much pain that he moves!"

"I feel that pain don't worry! Ssssss woooo! That burns! I really should learn a dispel magic!"

Rhaxtyx was hardly containing himself from moving. Like the wizard said he wanted to move to put out the non-existent fire on his leg. He understood the spell as soon as he was hit by it. This spell called {Chains of Nuremar} bound the enemies and made them feel a burning sensation. When looked, it showed the target's leg as if it was burning and thus they wanted to put it out. But that was the trick; the more you moved, or rather thought about moving, the more pain you felt and this would just increase.

{Blue gale, heed my call as I slaughter.

Hunt and slice my enemies with thine Azure Gale} (Rhaxtyx)

Even though he was in a lot of pain Rhaxtyx still managed to chant for an {Azure Gale}. He unleashed the spell as soon as it was formed. The approaching soldiers to benefit from his inability to move were shredded to pieces. Rhaxtyx then looked at the wizards and started chanting.

{Just like a lion marking its territory, I shall be heard from miles away,

After the shockwave shall come the fire and light the night aflame.}

He aimed with his right hand and launched the {Blast Echo} towards the wizards standing at one of the balconies. There were two groups of wizards, one at each balcony. The group Rhaxtyx fired at contained the wizard that held the chain spell. His {Blast Echo} hit right at the connection between the balcony and one of the support beams, resulting in that section collapsing.

Screams of agony and fear sounded out as the balcony fell down in rubbles. When the dust settled, at the place where Rhaxtyx fired was a hole and under it was rubble and plenty of dead people. Bloody arms were coming out under the rubble, there were also torsos hanging out and on their faces were fear.

As for Rhaxtyx, he was finally free from the chains as his spell was actually aimed at the caster. He moved his leg just to be sure and didn't feel any burning sensation. There was a mark remaining though.

'That looks cool.'

The remaining soldiers were either too injured to move or too scared to move. There were only five swordsmen left and they were mostly at the back, protecting the Baron. The wizards were not well off either. The balcony that Rhaxtyx fired at was crumbling slowly and would collapse at any given moment. There were not many survivors there as is and the rest would be injured in the best scenario. The other group of wizards were speechless at their adversary's magical prowess.

Rhaxtyx gave a final look around him with a smirk and then locked his gaze with Baron Herald.

"You are not half bad! In just five minutes you could kill most of my men." (Baron Herald)

"Oh you jest. It would not even take a second if it were my normal circ.u.mstances." (Rhaxtyx)

"HAHAHA! That is good! So what are you going to do now? Attack me?"

"I plan to actually. But I first have to take care of those remaining wizards and that bodyguard of yours."

"And I will not let you pass me!" (Knight Captain Reginald)

"You don't have much of a say in the matter actually…" (Rhaxtyx)

Rhaxtyx scratched his head while talking. He looked at the remaining wizards and chanted a two lined {Firebolt} to take care of them.

"Sneakily chanting a spell won't help you, you dumbasses. So shall we start? Mr. Knight Quacktain."

"You!"

"Hahahaha! You know how to speak! AHAHAHA!" (Baron Herald)

Reginal drew his sword and took his stance. He walked around in circles with Rhaxtyx. They were eyeing each other for any openings they could find. Rhaxtyx channeled the physical enhancement skill he learned from Kalim throughout his body. Reginald caught this and spoke in a serious tone.

"that is Kalim's spell. How did you learn it?"

"Oh this? I learn spells when I am hit by them. Just like this!"

Grab a hold of them and don't let them have their way, Chains of Nuremar!}

In quick succession, Rhaxtyx chanted for {Chains of Nuremar} and pointed at Reginald. Reginald, seeing this charged at Rhaxtyx but as he was about to take his first step towards him the chains appeared right under him and bound his feet. Rhaxtyx thought it was the perfect time and was about to unleash a barrage of spells when he felt a heat wave approach from behind.

He looked behind him and found out that Baron Herald has just finished chanting a fire spell and conjured a big fire wave towards him. He tried to dodge by jumping but Baron wouldn't let him go off the hook that easily. He made the wave taller instead of wider at the moment Rhaxtyx jumped and swallowed him.

"Hehehehe. Did you think I was just a decoration here? I'm the lord of a military city mind you. I have been specifically chosen to rule here."

The fire wave smashed Rhaxtyx to the back wall like a bug swatter. He slowly slid down and sat on the ground, smoke still coming out of his clothes. He looked at the Baron under his hair that was colored black by the soot. With a shake of his head the soot cleared and revealed his snow-white hair.

"So you decided to join in as well huh, Piggy-lord?" (Rhaxtyx)

"You really like to taunt people don't you. Yes I did decide on that. So that you can die faster. This is my mercy towards you demon. Appreciate it." (Baron Herald)

Baron Herald descended the stairs in front of his throne and stopped about ten meters from Rhaxtyx. Because his concentration was broken, the spell on Reginald was also gone so he stood up and took position in front the Baron. Rhaxtyx stood up and tidied himself a bit.

"Ganging up on me huh? That is low."

"What can I say, the end justifies the means. I want you dead and I am willing to use every means for it to happen." (Baron)

"Really? Hehe. I see our feelings are mutual then." (Rhaxtyx)

They were all staring at each other. The atmosphere around them was not like one between enemies but long-time acquaintance. There was an awkward silence between them while they looked at each other. Seemingly cannot standing the current situation, Reginald made the first move, followed by some chants from the Baron himself.

Rhaxtyx jumped back and activated the enhancing spell over his body while chanting.

{Blazing flames of the nether realm come forth

And manifest your wrath upon my foes.} (Rhaxtyx)

{Pitch black and bottomless gates to the abyss open!

I call you forth, grab and pull my enemies, Hands of Hadra!} (Baron)

"HAAH!" (Reginald)

Right after Rhaxtyx chanted and launched his spell, Reginald appeared in front of him brandishing his swords at him while a black portal opened behind him showing grotesque tentacles that reach out to him. He launched his spell at Reginald and took a step side ways to try and avoid the tentacles but they were following him relentlessly.

"These things are disgusting!" (Rhaxtyx)

"You wouldn't understand beauty!"

After that Baron herald started chanting once more. His hands were moving ceaselessly and they started to shine a bright red. Sensing something dangerous coming his way Rhaxtyx tried to throw a spell at him but Reginald and the disgusting tentacles kept him from doing so.

As he was thinking of what to do he ran out of time and Baron completed his chant. With a loud shout he lifted his hands up and laughed maniacally.

"Hahaha! You are dead demon! With this spell, you shall be reduced to ashes!"

"Milord is that-"

"Yes it is Reginald! Thank you for your loyal service all these years, but it is time we are separated! I set you free!"

"Kuh! As you wish, my eternal master."

"What the hell is going on?!"

With that the surroundings turned to white and every sound ceased. There was only a ringing sound and nothing else.
