Roan continued walking and killed several monsters along the way with a few slashes from his Steel Sword.

"I will try my skills for the next beast horde" he thought.

"You damn pests can't stop me here!" he then heard a familiar shout up ahead.

He ran towards the shout and saw a six foot 6 inches tall guy with a very muscular physique destroying a group of giant mosquitoes with his b.a.r.e fists.

"That's Terrius for you. Haha, he should be able to handle them" he laughed lightly and waited for Terrius to finish off the remaining mosquitoes.

Terrius killed the last remaining mosquito with a single punch. His muscular body was drenched in mosquito blood, making him look scary, but Roan was unaffected by the sight. He then stood up and greeted him with a smile on his face "Still as strong as always my dear friend."

Terrius heard the familiar voice and was a shock to see Roan in his new look that could enchant the hearts of most women.

"What the hell!" he shouted in shock.

Roan smiled at him.

Terrius threw a strong punch towards him. Roan smiled at the greeting like he already expected it. He then evaded the punch with ease and then followed it with a swift punch of his own. He took back the punch when it was centimeters away from Terrius face.

"I'm stronger than you now buddy. Haha" he laughed jokingly.

Terrius' face was covered in shock, but then turned into a happy smile afterwards.

"Good! Good! Good! Haha, now we can protect ourselves more efficiently" Terrius was geniunely happy for Roan's growth and he patted his back with strength.

Roan smiled in response and said "Let's go and get Karl. That bastard won't die early."

"Haha, of course. Nothing can escape his eyes" the big guy laughed lightly and proceeded to walk in front. Roan smiled after seeing that.

In a branch of a tall and sturdy mutated tree, a young man can be seen crouching while studying a beast. The beast was more than three meters tall with huge pincers and a lethal tail.

"What the hell is that thing?" Karl thought to himself as he looked at the beast in fright.

Roan felt a dangerous as presence as they neared Karl's location. He then saw the dangerous looking appearance of the Giant Scorpion. He also saw Karl hiding in one of the giant tree's branches.

"I'll take this one" he said lightly and then unsheathed his Steel Sword and dashed towards the Giant Scorpion. The Giant Scorpion sensed the threat and prepared its huge pincers. Roan was unaffected by the scorpions movements and jumped with great. The Steel Sword in his hands burst greatly. He then threw the burning sword straight towards the scorpion, but the scorpion was not an easy opponent, it blocked the attack using one of his large pincers. The sword pierced through the scorpion's pincer and it was immediately engulfed in hot flames. The scorpion emitted a savage cry and cut its burning pincer with its other one. It then attacked Roan with its whip like tail. Roan produced a burning spear with his Flame Manipulation while evading the sharp point of the scorpion's poisonous tail that was aimed at him.

"Bang!"

The ground trembled at the scorpion's attack leaving a small crater on it. Roan stretched his arms and threw the burning spear with great strength. It traveled at a very fast speed and it produced a whistling sound. The spear pierced through the scorpion's head incinerating its brain.

Something also dropped after the scorpion died, and Roan walked towards it. It was a one meter tall shield that has a diamond shape and its black color made it look cool.

He picked up the shield and gave it to Terrius.

"Keep it my friend."

Terrius accepted the shield with a smile. There was no need to say thanks between the both them.

"Karl! Get down now!" Roan shouted in urgency.

Karl heard the tone of Roan's voice and climbed down the mutated tree with great dexterity. He then ran towards his friends with great speed.
