The Lost Fruits

Chapter 25 - Some Are Fire Blessed And Some Are Not!

In a faraway place, in the east, another battle is taking place. The Chinese army against The Hun army has clashed in the middle of a small town. Fire was raising to the sky, dead bodies are lying on the ground, burned, slashed, and pierced. The Village's locals were already dead before the Chinese army could come and save them, their wealth was taken, their food was stolen, their women men were killed together with the elderly and children, as for the women...You can guess what a full-sized army of invading men will do to them before killing them. A man in war is far more dangerous than any other beast.

Once the Chinese army arrived, the village was no more. They could only direct their anger and contempt at the invader and clash with them in a fierce and cruel battle of swords and arrows. Each party wanted to kill as much as they can from the other one. Their bagged breaths and foul smell of sweat and blood proved nothing but that.

"Archers!!" A Chinese commander called. On the cliff, taking the high ground over the invaders. His archers lit their arrows and readied themselves. He smirked and shouted "Take aim!... Loos!!!" A wave of fire arrows covered the sky. The Hun army took cover with their shields but still, the fire caught them.

Far behind his army, General Shan Yu was overseeing the battle with his trusted men.

"All those arrows..." Su Lee; Shan Yu's advisor spoke with hate.

"Call our archers." Shan Yu spoke calmly, he wanted to test something for days now. He took out the flaming fruits and looked at it carefully.

Su Lee gestured for the archers behind them to step forward. They ran forward and waited for orders.

"Aim for the cliff." Shan Yu said.

"Sir, from this distance it won't be of any effect." Su Lee said. They are very short on arrows at the moment.

"Just do it." Shan Yu's glare sent shivers down Su Lee's spine, he couldn't speak any further.

"Take Aim..." He said. The archers followed his orders and pulled their string as hard as they could, the enemy is far above them, on a cliff. They need every force they could muster "Looos!!" Su Lee shouted. With his command, hundreds of arrows pierced through air and headed for the cliff.

Shan Yu smiled and raised up the flame fruits. It pulsed like a heart and glowed with yellow flames. The arrows they were in the sky were engulfed in flames and their speed increased drastically.

The Chinese commander and his archers saw the sky above them to turn yellow. They looked up to see flames headed towards them with wind speed.

"You MotherF--" Before the commander could finish his line, 4 flaming arrows pierced his body armor and exploded on him tearing him apart. His archers received the same fate and nothing but fire and ache were left.

"hahaha...HAHAHAHA!!!" Shan Yu was getting crazy, drunk on power "The best!! this is the best!!" he shouted. Su Lee and the archers joined him, It felt good. Too good, one attack was all it took t annihilate an archers squad.

"Now...Aim for the infantry." Shan Yu smiled and commanded again. This time, no one was more eager to do as such than the archers.

...

"Surrender?" Jarr looked at Ace with a deadpan face. In the middle of the desert, in this intense heat that he is feeling right now, nothing could of that can pull him back from his blank mind now. Such words have never been spoken like this in any of his country's war. His two underling; Mora and Sot were the same.

"You...you serious?" that was all Jarr could say.

"Yes. Put your weapons down and come with me to the camp, like that I won't need to burn you all here." Without even smiling, as if he is spewing mere facts, Ace spoke.

"How insurance!!!" Mora shouted, "You dare, A mere Agraban, a desert rat dare to say such a thing toward us the Jahilons?!"

Sot was the same, hate and rage were evident on his face "Just two days ago we killed two of your generals and a third of your army. What qualifications do you have to demand our surrender!!!"

While his men are shouting and letting out their anger, Jarr looked at Ace for a moment carefully as he touched his chin "You...you fit the description." Jarr said selecting his men "What is your name?" he asked.

Ace shrugged his shoulder "Portgas D. Ace." he said.

Jarr smiled and chuckled for a moment "Ah! you're that Ace. The new rich kid in Agrabah, isn't it unfortunate that the kingdom that you saved its economy is throwing you for your in its own war?!" It was a funny thing, a funny and sad thing that indicates how short and incompetent the monarchy of Agrabah is. When they take over, the citizens might applaud them for getting rid of such fools who can't keep even their economy alive.

"No, not at all." Ace spoke bring Jarr back from his thought "After this is done, I will be a hero in Agrabah, my tales will travel the world." He said, "But anyway, do you surrender or not?"

"..."Jarr frowned, his men were about to retort but he raised his hand to stop them "We will not continue this talk, you have wasted our time enough. Let us go back." Jarr pulled his horseback and returned to his army with his men.

Ace shook his head "Only one man needs to live." He mumbled after crossing his fingers in front of his c.h.e.s.t, a yellow light shot from them towards Jarr's back. [Fire Blessing] Ace called it.

Hassan and Ace have spoken before, Although the first was on his nerves and about to collapse from a mental breakdown. Ace made him promise that he never orders the soldiers to move and let him alone even if the enemy moved. It was an insane proposition for Hassan, but for Ace, it was just a bit of advice for him and his own men's sake.

Ace descended from his horse and started walking forward towards the Jhailon army. Jarr returned and saw Ace walking towards them "Fool!" he scuffed.

Ace took out his sword [Burkan], steam started going up like it was just taken out from a furnace.

"Send the Cavalry and the infantrymen," Jarr ordered the start of the war as horns were blown. Hassan heard them and got nervous. He promised to not move but he can't.

"Charge!!!" he shouted. Both armies rushed at each other in an open field with Ace in the middle.

"Man, I told him not to move." Ace sighed and stopped as he saw the enemy's army coming closer.

"You can't blame him, he doesn't know..." Genie's voice came from the lamp on his neck.

Ace smiled and thrust Burkan on the ground "Then I will let him know...[Fire Sea]!!" Ace shouted as a wave of Crimson fire rushed and washed the Jahilon army.

Agrabah's army stopped and looked at the fire ocean in front of them and felt heat reaching them. Explosions started going up eating the Jahilon army to its last one. No one was sparred, the wave of fire reached the backline and killed the Magus in the back who were waiting for their turn.

Ace smiled as he watched his work with amus.e.m.e.nt "It never stops to amaze me how beautiful it is!" He mumbled. He waved with his hand to the side and the flames that ate everything in front of him dispersed like thin air. Nothing remained, nothing, even ash was not allowed to exist. But only one small dot was standing in the far distance where the Jahilon army was supposed to be.

Jarr...With his eyes fully open, body frozen, fear taking place in his heart after had watched an army of 43 thousand turns into ash in 2 seconds. He fell down to his knees and screamed like a madman.

Hassan on the other side was no less shocked, but unlike Jarr, he wasn't on the receiving end "So this is what a Magus is capable of!" he mumbled to himself and looked at his sword "True Power..."
