The Maniacal General With His Crazy System

Chapter 8 - Come out wherever you're hiding

A grin slowly appeared on Averill's face as his eyes narrowed even more and his black hair was floating behind his head. He descended from the air and softly tapped the ground, but the soft tap from his foot dented the ground.

Averill began walking towards where he is feeling the aura, each step he took made a small crater beneath his feet. And for every step he took, the crazier his aura acted, turning buildings around him into dust.

The longer he walked, the clearer his senses became. But even after killing all these people, he still felt anger. None of them amounted to the piece of clothing that he wore. Averill didn't feel any emotion when he saw the massacre and destruction he made, none of that mattered to him.

[H-ost, are you able to hear me now?] The System spoke in Averill's mind once again, the System had tried to do it during the massacre, but Averill had ignored everything.

"Yes System, I'm able to hear you." Averill replied, yet the grin on his face didn't vanish as he continued walking forward. He could see in the horizon, a figure of a woman that was bringing forth a malicious intent and aura.

[Good. Host, I can fix your clothes for you if you wish for it.] The System could easily see that Averill was attached to his clothes, and Averill even went crazy because it got slightly destroyed. The only thing that the System would do is to give Averill what he wished for without any hesitation.

Before Averill could nod happily, he heard the voice of a female who had already arrived a hundred meter near him. "Heh, I wondered why I was released, as I would be imprisoned as long as Dear Father was alive. But it seems like you have already killed my Father and destroyed my soldiers…"

Averill gazed at the woman, she was rather tall, wearing black and green dress and had a helmet on her head which had long antlers of some sort. Averill knew he was grinning without needing to feel his face.

The woman; Hela, daughter of Odin, gazed at the man in the black military outfit who had a crazy expression on his face. She could see in his eyes that he was conscious and could hear her, but none of that would matter as his eyes were also sharp as swords that would kill anything in his path.

Hela didn't know how strong this man was, nor why he destroyed Asgard, but Hela knew one thing, that the man in front of her was very strong. Perhaps even stronger than herself…

It didn't take long before Hela made her choice as she gazed at the man with a solemn expression. "If you are willing to serve me, I will make you a commander of my army for when I rule this universe." She would finish doing what she was trained to do by Odin, rule the universe.

"HAHAHA!" Averill began laughing when she finished speaking, his laughter went from a warm laughter into something creepy. "HEHEHEHE!" For the first time since he came to this universe, Averill released all of his aura.

The world seemed to lose its colour and time seemed to slow down drastically.

Hela's body froze, she couldn't move a single muscle, she thought she was lifting the entire world on her back, and one wrong move would destroy her. She knows now how wrong she was, the man in front of her wasn't simply strong, he was even more powerful than anything should have existed in this world.

After gritting her teeth, Hela yelled in a weak voice. "WEAPON MANIFASTION!" Hundred of swords suddenly appeared around her, not enough with that, hundreds of daggers, spears, axes and many different other weapons, over thousand weapons were manifested.

Averill didn't care about the weapons that were floating in front of him, he glared at the woman for a brief moment before he began to slowly walk towards her. "Do you think I will spare you? Do you honestly think I will serve you? You may be strong, you may be someone at the apex of this universe. But, what does that have to do with me? In my eyes, you are nothing. No humans or creatures are worth anything in my eyes. As long as no one bothers me, I wouldn't care if you exist or not. Yet you had to belittle me in saying I should serve you…" Averill's soothing voice turned slightly deeper than usual as he spoke.

To Averill, no one matters. The sight of money, beauty or the sensation of conquering didn't appeal to Averill. Nothing would move Averill's feelings, he was just a person roaming the world for no reason, nothing would catch his gaze.

Averill vanished before appearing in front of the woman, he caught her neck with his left hand. Not even a moment later, he felt weapons attacking his body, but they all shattered into pieces. Averill was gazing in the eyes of the woman as she panicked that she couldn't do anything to escape.

"Life has always been cruel, why shouldn't I be cruel too?" Averill muttered in a soft voice as he snapped the neck of the woman. The moment her neck broke, Averill threw her to the side.

After having killed the woman too, Averill turned around and gazed at the destruction he created. Not a single emotion showed on his face when he gazed at all the people he killed. He shook his head slightly before turning his head to the side.

"Why don't you come out? You've been there for a while now, why not come out?" Averill spoke in a soothing voice as his cruel grin turned back into his weird complex smile that was both real and fake with hints of amus.e.m.e.nt, joy and smugness.
