Averill closed his eyes for a brief moment, his breathing was steady, he wasn't worried at all. "Harleen, the more I think about it, as much as I would like to deny it, I might fail the mission I have accepted." His lips were curved into his usual weird smile and his tone was soothing as ever, yet the words he said wasn't that comforting. Because failing the mission would have consequences, which would lead into much worse things in the future.

Because if Averill lost an arm, his overall prowess would decline as he wouldn't be able to hold onto one of his weapons. Even if he might be strong enough to beat Spectre without his weapons, but what about the future enemies that are much stronger? What about the 12 Creators that had made the Universes. If Averill failed now and lost an arm, his battle in the future would be hard.

If Averill could hold himself back and not interfere in the battle between Laura, Saitama versus Spectre. Then Averill wouldn't have any issues and wouldn't lose an arm.

Yet even after knowing this, Averill couldn't but doubt himself into not interfering in their battle. Because deep inside of himself, he knew that Laura and Saitama would die if they fought against Spectre. How could Averill allow the ones that willingly followed him to die?

Whilst Averill was deep in his own thoughts, a soft and gentle voice filled with endless warmth sounded out.

"Even if you want to deny it or not, that thought exists inside of you, Averill. The thought of not wanting to be selfish. What do you really think that means, Averill? Do you think a self-proclaimed cold-hearted murderer would have such thoughts?" Harleen then spoke in a firm tone as she continued speaking. "I am a psychologist, I am not here to tell you what to think or feel, I am only here to allow you to think through it yourself. All I'm doing is presenting thoughts and dilemmas for you."

Averill went quiet for a while; his mind was going through every kind of ideas and scenarios. Within a few seconds, dozens of plans he had thought through had to scratched away due to their failure chances being incredibly high.

After half a minute, Averill stood up from the couch, a serene aura spread around him. His red eyes weren't narrowed or strained; Averill was calm, calmer than ever. "I know Harleen, I know what to do, you don't have to worry any longer about it." He then began walking slowly out towards the door, but before he could reach the door, a portal was made in front of him.

Harleen had a bad premonition when she noticed the serene look in Averill's expression. And that premonition turned worse when she saw Averill going into a portal. "AVERILL, NO!" She yelled out as she tried reaching out towards the portal, but the portal closed itself mere moments before Harleen could touch it.

Dread filled within of Harleen; she had personally seen the change in Averill over the couple of days. She knew one thing for sure with Averill's personality, that he would do something crazy…!

In the middle of the Universe where Spectre was laying down, a portal was made before a man came through it.

As the portal was created, a behemoth of an aura surged out crazily, cracking space and time itself.

Spectre laid his eyes upon the man that came through the portal. A man with pale white skin, long dark hair floating behind of him, sharp red eyes that could cut through anything, the man was wearing a black military outfit with a cloak covering his back. The man Spectre laid his eyes upon was Averill Kaiser.

Time seemed to stop the moment Averill came out of the portal, not even a particle could move. The space was cracking up, being slowly destroyed by the mere pressure Averill was giving off. The sharp red eyes on Averill seemed to be burning with conviction, there was not a smile upon Averill's face, because he knew something, he was prepared for the consequences that would befall him after this battle.

A calm yet soothing voice sounded out as Averill opened his mouth. "Spectre, this is the end of the line for you." Averill spread his hands slightly away from his body.

With his left hand, he grabbed onto a rapier that appeared out of nowhere. For his right hand, a gun appeared. Averill gazed at the so-called "god" of this Universe; Spectre, who was staring back at him with anger, but Averill could see and sense something else within Spectre, it was fear. Spectre was afraid…

[HOST! If you attack Spectre, the mission will be failed, and the punishment must be delivered. Don't do it, Host!] The System of Unyielding couldn't help but to shout in the mind of Averill, for the very first time in its existence, the System was worried for an outcome that it didn't wish to predict.

The System knew that Averill wouldn't listen to it, so it did more than this. Yelling at Averill was only to stall him because the System had other plans to fulfil.

Averill raised his rapier without listening to the System and attacked without any hesitation. Averill's attack was nearing Spectre, inching closer and closer, and only a few centimetres before the rapier touched upon Spectre, Spectre's body was sent flying towards another direction.

A booming sound so deafening could be heard throughout the entire Universe. The sonic boom that followed after, destroyed the nearby galaxies leaving not even dust behind.

The rapier that was supposed to hit Spectre stood a few centimetres away from someone else now.

The person that suddenly appeared out of nowhere with that sonic boom was Laura, she stood in front of the rapier where Spectre stood earlier, she was facing Averill with her clear green eyes and a calm expression.

Not even a moment later, a portal was created near Averill, and through that portal, a bald man walked through. He was wearing his trademark yellow and red suit and the expression on his face was natural without any expressions.

Saitama gazed upon Averill first and checked that both of his arms were still there, when he saw that Averill still hasn't lost a limb, his gaze went towards Laura and then towards Spectre who was slightly further away.

Laura and Saitama nodded to each other before both of them stood in front of Averill. Both of them were glaring at Spectre in the horizon, it was Saitama who spoke out.

"Averill, leave this fight for us, we can handle it." Saitama's voice was without any emotions, yet his eyes were narrowed slightly.

The aura around of Saitama couldn't be assumed by his facial expression, he was releasing the aura of a beast who was prepared to fight with his life on the line!

And the same could be said to Laura, the frosty and deathly aura surrounding Laura betrayed her calm expression.
