The Only Delicacy

That girl, who went inside, immediately saw the old nurse peeking behind the curtain of the bed and silently snickered before making her way to the same bed.

The girl tenderly greeted the old nurse in order to get her out of her way, "Good noon, head nurse! What are you doing there? Oh gosh, what happened to your knees? Do your knees hurt?"

The girl immediately feigned worry and concern like a professional actress, while still taking note that she looked as pretty as always.

Mathilda immediately reddened like a tomato and coughed awkwardly while saying, "Ohohoh, it's nothing…"

Mathilda averted her eyes and then her eyes suddenly lit up, "Oh dear, I still have a lot of documents to finish! I got to hurry! Excuse me!"

Mathilda ran away as she used that given opportunity to escape. She knew that she was now found out by the three lying on the bed all because of that clueless girl.

"Ack!" But, before she could successfully escape, Mathilda slightly stumbled and then immediately got back up as she ran to the finish line. Feigning the pain from her knees and ankles was very difficult for her old body, but with the help of her adrenaline, she still managed to do it successfully.

Once the old nurse had reached her desk, Mathilda immediately sat down to relieve herself. She finally realized, 'Have I been kneeling for so long?'

At that thought, the old nurse could also determine the future. She would definitely have more pain on both her ankles and knees that she was not even sure if she could walk anymore.

Mathilda secretly reprimanded herself for her own stupidity and curiosity.

Because of the doubled pain, Mathilda directly forgot about the past events again and concentrated on treating herself. As she was about to treat herself, the telephone rang and the old nurse immediately answered. After that short talk, the old nurse immediately drank her medicine and grabbed her wallet before hastily leaving.

As she left, Mathilda cursed her old brain for forgetting the lunch out she had promised with the other fellow teachers.

Seeing the old nurse's odd and amusing reactions that took place in less than a minute, Amanda secretly laughed to herself as she continued going to the bed while maintaining her angelic aura and lovely smile.

Amanda abruptly opened the curtain and brightly smiled at the trio peacefully sitting down on the bed as she adorably complained and feigned worry, "Scarlet-chan, I was so worried about you, you know? You can't just leave me out of it if you're sick, you know? You didn't even bother to tell me! Not even once! Why are you so uncaring for your best friend who got worried about you all this while? Did you actually forget about me?"

Most of all, why were there now three people who wanted to be her friend?

Did she leave some sort of impression on them without knowing?

From the thought of that, Scarlet could not find any reason or answer, no matter how much she racked her intelligent brain for clues.

Seeing that Scarlet was not replying at all but was just staring at her, Amanda secretly gritted her teeth. In her mind, she screamed out to the heavens about how Scarlet was a rude slut who did not know her place. But outside, she was still the perfect angel, because she had to be the perfect girl in front of the most desirable men in the academy.

Seeing the two very handsome men beside that girl, Amanda ignored that irritating girl and beamed at both men with her most lovely smile. She first went closer to Kevin while making herself look pitiful, "Ah, Kevin-kun! I was also so worried about you, you know? We had so many activities during the time you missed classes! But, don't worry! I recorded each activity for you so you can take it easy."

Right then, Scarlet was brought out of her thoughts and took note of the name of her first friend. 'Kevin, huh?' She smugly thought to herself. She was correct.

His name indeed started with, 'K,' just like his brother.

"No need." Kevin nonchalantly replied while not eyeing Amanda once or smiling at her. Presently, he was busy with tenderly embracing his beloved sweetheart. Not only that, he was quite annoyed that a light bulb would dare to disturb their alone time together when they barely even had the time to see each other.

When he thought of that, Kevin finally shifted his loving gaze from his beloved and intensely eyed Amanda with a dazzling smile, obviously revealing the hidden meaning behind his gaze and smile.

In fact, how was he able to maintain his second place for all these years despite cutting classes? A small absence like this was not even worth his worry or time.

However, Amanda was too preoccupied seeing what was hers embracing that irritating girl that she did not notice his intense gaze that kept saying, 'Get lost.'

Amanda's heart burst with jealousy and fury. Why was her Kevin so interested in this girl who was just nothing but trash? Did that girl use some sort of demonic arts to capture his attention?

Since her thoughts were too loud, Alfred side commented, "Wrong! It's called 'Cupid arts,' b*tch! Even if I don't do anything, they would still fall in love with her. So, truthfully, what I'm doing is literally useless! I'm meant to protect her from all these two-faced wolves and worms! But, those d*mn higher-ups don't see the point. Are they blind?!"

Immediately after that, a big lightning bolt struck the poor baby cupid.

No, the higher-ups were obviously not blind and, yes, they were grateful to that little girl, not to that ungrateful and annoying baby cupid. Their grateful attitude did not change the fact that they still held a grudge on him.

While not knowing that she was being loudly cursed at by a supernatural being, Amanda secretly gritted her teeth more and changed her target from Kevin to Kyle.

Amanda beamed brightly at him, her eyes became crescent, and she lovingly smiled while saying in an adorable manner that could captivate all men, "Ah, so this is Kevin-kun's brother, Kyle-kun! I've heard so much about you, especially about how you were able to maintain your top position until now! You're so amazing, ne! My name is Amanda. You can call me whatever you like. It's nice to meet you."

Amanda displayed an extremely hard to resist smile as her small hand immediately reached out towards Kyle's hand for a handshake.

However, with his topnotch skills, Kyle immediately noticed her slight and swift movement, thus moving his hand away and using it to tighten his embrace all around his beloved like a knot.

Kyle never bothered to reply to the light bulb and just laid his head on his beloved's shoulders as he stared at the light bulb with a hint of curiosity and amusement. For all the years he had lived, he was most familiar with these types of two-faced, boot-licking people, especially the type who would praise others for their own benefit.

Meanwhile, Scarlet began to feel suffocated again. Didn't she say that she could not breathe a while ago? Why were they suffocating her again?

Right then, Scarlet just realized that these twins kept embracing her.

She pondered, 'Was this how friends should act?'

As she tried to get answers by recalling the movies she had watched portraying friendship, Scarlet concluded that friends were indeed close. Hence, she could only bear with it and be open about it as she stared at the both of them.

She absolutely could not bear to have any more friends than the twins. It was too tiring!

Hence, Scarlet instinctively made an, 'I'm sorry,' gaze towards Amanda. She felt guilty about her decision, but she had no choice. There were already too many burdens in her shoulders.

If the other students saw their top three idols right now, their noses would burst with so much nosebleed at how sexy they were. They were like international models posing on the bed, not uttering a word but displaying a dazzling aura all around them.

Yet again, Amanda never saw Kyle's mocking gaze and just concentrated on Kyle's instinctive response, which was avoiding her hand and tightening his embrace on that annoying girl! Moreover, that annoying girl had actually sent a sympathizing look towards her, making the heat in her heart burst out furiously. What did that trash pity her for? She did not need a trash's pity. Better yet, the trash should pity herself for being a trash.

Amanda displayed an adorable smile towards Scarlet.

At least this rude slut knew that she stole something that was not hers in the first place!

Ever since she saw the twins paying attention to her, Amanda decided to clean the trash before it would spread even more germs.
