The Pokemon Emissary Among Worlds

Kakashi glanced at Okami from time to time as he read his favorite book. He was surprised when he noticed that the kid had opened 3/4th of the book's content. "Was he able to memorized that much information after only a few hours?"

Kakashi was distracted by the sounds of the Pokemon behind him. He turned around and saw the new summons. "Another pokemon? Where are they coming from, anyway?"

Kakashi looked at the clock and saw that it was almost noon. He stood up and hid the book inside his jacket. "Hey, Okami. Break time. You have an hour to do what you want. We'll resume at exactly 1 pm."

Okami just finished memorizing the different rules when one becomes a ninja and was about to start reading the last section when he heard Kakashi. "Sure, Kakashi-sensei. Uh, will you be staying here for lunch?"

Kakashi nodded. "I've brought my pack lunch."

"Ah! Then eat together with us. The food delivery will arrive at noon."

Sure enough, Tomiro arrived when he said this.

"Your lunch, Okami-kun."

"Thanks." Okami turned around and introduced Kakashi to Tomiro and both exchanged their greetings. Tomiro did not stay much longer and left the place. Okami and the rest ate their lunch.

As soon as Okami was done cleaning the place, he went back to reading the book and started memorizing the last section.

Kakashi was all the more convinced that Okami was a genius who was eager to learn more things. He decided to test the boy if he really memorized and understood everything inside the book after the session ends.

Okami sighed as he closed the book after reading for half an hour. He collected his mind and recalled everything that he read, realizing that there were many things that were the same as the Anime and Manga. If only he could read a book regarding the history of every village, then he could evaluate if the details were just like that as portrayed back on Earth.

"Kakashi-sensei, I'm done."

Kakashi closed his book. "You've understood everything?"

"Yes."

Kakashi took out a set of paper and gave it to Okami. "Here, answer these questions."

Okami received the papers and sat down. The tests included a variety of topics including the general subjects like basic Math. He then answered everything in a span of thirty minutes and returned them to Kakashi.

Kakashi checked Okami's answers and his eyes almost popped out when he saw that every single question was answered correctly. Even the essay questions were perfectly written just like how it was printed in the book. "Perfect."

Okami folded his arms on his c.h.e.s.t and said, "It wasn't much."

Kakashi chuckled, noticing how confident Okami was with his intelligence. Indeed, his suspicion was correct. The kid was a rare genius that could rival Itachi Uchiha.

"I was not expecting this, Okami. Anyway, let me see if you are good with Ninjutsu. Let us first learn the basics - Henge no Jutsu. Can you tell me more about this Jutsu?"

"Henge no Jutsu, an E-rank supplementary skill that is often used to disguise user as another person, an animal, a plant, or inanimate object."

Kakashi nodded. "Very good. The hand seals are Dog - Boar - Ram. I will show you how it is done."

Kakashi did the hand seals and transformed into Okami. He posed like how Naruto did. "This is the correct way of using this Jutsu. Remember that you have to transform into your target with precision and accuracy. Can you tell me in what ways this Jutsu can be used?"

"Espionage."

"Correct. There are many types of Transformation Jutsu. Hensojutsu, the highest form of spying, is a type of Transformation Jutsu that assumes a false identity and blend in with the population inside the village," Kakashi explained as he returned back to his original body. "Then show me what you can do, Okami."

Okami memorized Kakashi's looks, executed the hand seals and said, "Henge no Jutsu."

He felt the chakra molded inside his body. Soon, he realized his clothes changed into that of Kakashi's. He ran towards the mirror and saw that his face was indeed Kakashi's as well. "So this is how it feels like when one transforms into another using that Jutsu."

Kakashi was pleased when he verified that Okami was able to do it properly after a single try. He noticed that every single detail about him was correctly copied. It was like looking at his identical twin. "Well done. A perfect Henge no doubt. Did you like the feeling of transforming into another form?"

Okami nodded. "Yes, Kakashi-sensei. Will I gain every attribute and physical features of the target if I perform Henge no Jutsu perfectly?"

"Yes, Okami. Now let us try changing into a weapon."

Kakashi did the proper hand seals and changed into a Fuma Shuriken. He reverted back to his original form. "Now, your turn."

Okami released the Jutsu and changed back to his form. He concentrated his mind and imagined the Fuma Shuriken he saw earlier and did the hand seals. He felt his body shrunk and became that of a weapon lying on the ground. What surprised him the most was he could still see his surroundings even if he transformed into a Fuma Shuriken.

Kakashi picked him up and throw him against the wall.

Okami noticed that he was stuck because the pointy edge pierced through the wall. He saw Kakashi retrieving him and throwing him again, this time on the floor. He was about to hit the floor when he deactivated the Jutsu and landed on his feet.

Kakashi laughed and approached him. "You've passed the test with flying colors. Don't you know what you just did?"

"Uh...I don't want to assume."

"You just passed the exact tests that the Academy usually give to the students."

"Eh? Does it mean I can graduate as well?"

Kakashi clapped his hands. "Indeed. Hokage-sama has told me that you can graduate if you will pass both exams. Who am I to deny you when you've got a perfect score? And you are worthy of becoming a Genin."

Okami grinned. "Am I a Genin, now?"

"Yes, Okami. I'll get your forehead protector as your proof that you have indeed graduated. Better prepare yourself and let you have your photo back at the Academy. Report to the Hokage's office tomorrow."

Okami never expected that he would be included in Naruto's batch despite his young age. "Then do I have to prepare something for the picture taking?"

"Nope. Just yourself is enough. Let's go."

"We can go directly to the Academy without wasting time, Kakashi-sensei."

Kakashi turned around and gave Okami an inquisitive stare. "Teleport?"

"Yup." Okami unsummoned every pokemon except Kadabra and absorbed him. He then grasped Kakashi's arms and said, "Teleport."

"Please inform me if there are drastic effects before you let me try a new Jutsu, okay?" Kakashi requested as he massaged his head to alleviate his dizziness. He waited until his condition became normal, instructed Okami to wait for him at the door and went inside Hiruzen's office.

Okami wondered why Kakashi told him to wait outside. He suspected that Kakashi was going to report things that involved himself. He opened the Pokemon App to waste his time.

Okami slapped his forehead when he saw the prompt. He totally forgot that he still had to make a decision regarding his pokemon's move set. It was not convenient for him to do such things.

The door opened and Kakashi invited Okami to enter the office.

"Hello, Okami-kun. I've heard from Kakashi that you have passed the exam with a perfect score." Hiruzen smiled at the kid.

"Yeah. I think I just did."

"You deserve to have this, then." Hiruzen gave Kakashi a signal. "Your own forehead protector. Congratulations on becoming a Genin."

Okami accepted the forehead protector from Kakashi and wore it on his forehead. "Nice. I was not expecting this at all, Hokage-sama."

Hiruzen was about to lecture Okami about the Will of Fire when the door opened. He saw the photographer and Naruto entered the office.

"Hokage-sama, here is the photo." The old man had a weird look on his face as he gave the paper to Hiruzen. "I did everything I could do."

Okami saw Naruto and waved his hand. Naruto greeted back.

Hiruzen looked at the papers and his eyes twitched when he saw the picture. He shifted his attention towards Naruto and shouted, "Retake it!"

Naruto was flabbergasted. "What?! It took me ages to come up with a good face! I thought about these for twelve hours and I decided to take this one! But come on, it is artistic, right?"

"Artistic, my ass! And what's with your profile? You want people to know that you love to make trouble and eat Ramen? Remember, these things are to be included in the Shinobi Registration Book."

"Well, you see. I don't understand things like that."

"And where's your forehead protector?"

"I am saving it for tomorrow's ceremony. I don't want to scratch it."

"Retake it!"

Naruto scratched his head. "Okay. Fine, old man."

Naruto looked at Okami and noticed that his friend was wearing a forehead protector as well. "You became a Genin, Okami?"

Okami gave him a thumbs-up. "Yup. I just did today."

"Ah! That's good! But I never saw you in class? Are you - "

CREAK!

The door opened and a boy with a grey helmet and short spiky brown hair sticking out from the hole entered the office. "Fight me, old geezer!"

Hiruzen pulled down his hat and sighed. "When will this ever end?"

The boy was about to move forward when he tripped on his own feet, toppling down the floor, face first.

"Oh no! Not Again!" A black-haired ninja rushed inside the room, gasping when he saw the kid tumbling down. "Konohamaru!"

"Damn it! Who set a trap?!" Konohamaru bellowed as he rubbed his head.

"Are you alright? And there isn't a trap anywhere."

Konohamaru looked around and saw Naruto. He approached him and shouted, "Hey! I know you are the one who set a trap!"

Naruto grabbed Konohamaru's collar. "You tripped over your own feet, you idiot!"

"I agree. I witnessed everything." Okami supported Naruto and smiled. He somehow expected that he would meet the duo - Konohamaru and Ebisu - today since he knew that the plot followed the famous show. "One should not give false testimony against a fellow ninja."

Konohamaru gave him an incredulous look. "Who are you?"

"Don't talk to him like that! He is a good friend of mine, Okami Okaya!" Naruto exclaimed as he tightened his grasp and raised his clenched fist.

Ebisu glared at Naruto. "Let him go! Naruto, he's the Hokage's grandson!"

Naruto gave him a blank stare.

Konohamaru noticed that Naruto exchanged glances with Okami and grinned at the same time. Not wanting to be defeated, he all the more taunted Naruto for he was sure that he would not be hit. "Come on, then. Go ahead, punch me!"

"YOU REALLY THINK I GIVE A DAMN, IDIOT!?
