The Pokemon Emissary Among Worlds

"OUCH!" Konohamaru bellowed like a pained lion as he rubbed his head.

Okami laughed boisterously when he saw the actual scene of Naruto hitting Konohamaru. It was much funnier than it was when he was just watching through the screen.

Hiruzen shook his head, expecting the result as well. "Geez..."

Ebisu sounded surprised, not expecting that Naruto would actually hit Konohamaru in the presence of Hiruzen, the kid's grandfather. "You've got the nerve!"

"Why would I not dare?! This brat is disrespecting the old man and telling lies about me." Naruto released his grip and faced Hiruzen. "Old man, this brat is really imm.a.t.u.r.e. Anyway, I've got to retake the photos and request permission to leave."

Okami moved beside Naruto and replied, "May I join the picture-taking with Naruto, Hokage-sama?"

Hiruzen nodded. "Go ahead."

Okami and Naruto followed the photographer to the rooftop to have their pictures taken.

Ebisu took Konohamaru and led him outside.

Kakashi facepalmed. "I guess my role is done here, Hokage-sama. Am I dismissed, now?"

"The thing is, I want you to handle a team, Kakashi." Hiruzen gave a book to him. "Just read the report first before reacting."

Kakashi opened it. What he saw made him sighed exasperatedly. "Are you serious, Hokage-sama?"

"Yes. You are the best to handle them. Sakura Haruno, Sasuke Uchiha, and Naruto Uzumaki."

"Do I have a choice?"

"I guess not."

"Oh, well." Kakashi took a deep breath as he was in deep thought. "I'm okay with Sakura Haruno, but Sasuke Uchiha, and Naruto Uzumaki. This could be troublesome."

"You can do it. A talented Jounin like you will never back out from a challenge, right?" Hiruzen chuckled as he took a smoke.

"I guess so if you put it that way. I still have to prepare for tomorrow. May I go now, Hokage-sama?"

"Another thing. What do you think about Okami?"

"He should be trained properly, Hokage-sama. A genius that even surpasses Itachi Uchiha. He already knows what a ninja should have even at a young age. With his Kekkei Genkai, he is a great asset to Konoha."

Hiruzen smiled. "Indeed. I am thinking of introducing him to the different clans so that everyone would know that there is a new clan inside the village. Even though he is alone, he is still young. We could let him have a harem and bore many children."

Kakashi had a weird face when he heard Hiruzen's plan. "Lucky brat."

"That was boring!" Naruto complained as he kicked a rock on his way to his house. "Why can't they agree with my initial picture? That was more interesting."

Okami nodded as he gave a brief glance to his side. "That kid is following us."

"Who?" Naruto was about to turn around when he noticed Konohamaru following like some sort of a detective. "Pfft. Did he think that nobody can see his ridiculous acts?"

Okami sneered. "Wanna scare him to death?"

Naruto shook his head. "Nah. That would be too much. Anyway, I'm famished."

"Yeah. I'm hungry as well. Let's go to Ichiraku Ramen?"

"Sure."

It was getting more ridiculous when Konomaharu even carried a blanket to cover himself. Naruto could not take it any longer and turned around and shouted, "Stop following us! And you aren't fooling anyone with that!"

"Impressive to see through my cover. It seems the rumors about you are true." Konohamaru hid the blanket and approached Naruto. "Hey, I'll make you my boss and in exchange, please teach me that S.e.xy no Jutsu which you defeated gramps with!"

Okami really wanted to stay with them but he had to prepare for tomorrow's ceremony. "Well, I better leave Naruto with you, then. Naruto, I still have to do a lot of things tomorrow."

"Ah! Sure, Okami. We'll celebrate tomorrow at the Ichiraku Ramen to make up for today, okay?"

Okami nodded as he did a hand seal and said, "Teleport."

Konohamaru widened his eyes when Okami disappeared without a trace. "Cool!"

Naruto puffed his c.h.e.s.t. "Of course. Okami's my best friend. Looks like you are worthy enough to be taught by a master like me."

"Yes, boss!"

Okami reappeared right inside his room. Happiny was still sleeping on his bed. Noticing that the pokemon had a peaceful look, he tiptoed across the room, closed the door, and went downstairs. As soon as he reached the table, he unsummoned his pokemon.

Okami decided to keep Kadabra in 'Absorb' mode so that he could use teleportation anytime he wanted to. It was also safe for him to do so because he had the necessary amount of chakra to maintain it all the time. He found out that the pokemon would not get hungry when they are in this mode as if they are in a frozen state.

"I guess it's the perfect time to deal with the move sets." Okami took out his Pokemon App and did the deleting process.

Okami deleted Tackle and canceled Will-O-Wisp on Vulpix's move set. He thought about it and Quick Attack was a much better option for him to spam as Taijutsu rather than Tackle. Confuse Ray was his Genjutsu staple attack, also upgradeable to its Master form even if the first generation was the only redeemable pokemon as of the moment.

On Butterfree's move set, he deleted Tackle and Confusion while retaining Harden and Gust. The two deleted moves were replaced with Poison Powder and Psybeam.

Okami had Mirror Move and Gust retained while replacing Tackle and Sand-Attack with Quick Attack and Wing Attack in Pidgey's move set.

Rattata now had Quick Attack, Focus Energy, Bite and Superfang in his arsenal while Paras had Scratch, Poison Powder, Absorb and Growth.

As for Beedrill, Okami opted to remove String Shot and added Rage on his move set and retained Harden, Poison Sting, and Twineedle.

Kadabra had Flash, Disable, Teleport, and Psybeam which he could readily use since he decided to keep the pokemon in 'Absorb' mode.

After he was done with the move sets of his pokemon, he teleported to his old house to inform Baki that he became a Genin of Konoha.

Baki was elated and decided to celebrate the occasion by giving him and his pokemon free dinner.

Okami greedily ate the food Baki served on the table. Even the pokemon gobbled up their favorite meal and gave their thanks by giving Baki a hug. It was dark already when he teleported back to his house.

He remembered the promised exchange with Naruto. "I'll ask him tomorrow. I really need to learn the Kage Bunshin no Jutsu since it could easily help me with my training and my chakra allows me to execute such a great Jutsu."

Okami went downstairs and was about to close the door when he saw a paper pinned against the door.

"We've visited but there's no one around - Koga Aburame."

"Don't hide the pokemon. You owe me several fights. - RInan Hyuga."

"Crush his eggs again! - Nori Sakazaki."

"Sorry. The kids are getting crazier. - Akira Kanto."

Okami laughed and removed the paper. He locked the door and checked the place one more time. As soon as he was sure that everything was ready, he went to sleep.

Okami left Happiny at Baki's shop since he could not absorb the pokemon, which made the grown man happy. He knew that she would be in good hands and be well-fed since she was literally staying inside a restaurant.

Okami teleported to Naruto's house and saw the kid playing with his Vulpix. "Hey Naruto, good morning."

"Hello, Okami." Naruto fed Kyuubi some chocolate cupcakes. "You still have to teach me how to become a good Pokemon trainer."

"I know. Have you been training with Kyuubi lately?"

"Yes. His fire is getting stronger. This is my first time seeing a black flame." Naruto patted Kyuubi's head. "When can we start practicing?"

"In your free time. Remember, you will have our team assignment today. You can't slack off."

"I know." Naruto looked at the time. "I still have ten minutes left."

"You know you'll never be late if you are together with me," Okami answered as he grabbed Naruto's arms.

"Wait! Let me prepare yet..."

"Teleport!"

"That was really bad!" Naruto complained as they walked along the hallway, which leads to Iruka's class.

Okami laughed. "Hey! At least you're getting used to it. Besides, we can reach the place without getting tired."

Naruto pouted his mouth. "I almost puked my Ramen."

"Hah! You will get used to it if you will experience teleportation every day. Don't worry."

They chatted about random things until they reached the classroom and went inside.

Okami saw all of Naruto's batchmates except for Team Gai. Shikamaru slept on his desk. Beside him were Kiba and Choji. Shino sat together with a black-haired kunoichi and a long-haired kid. Hinata was staring down on the floor. Ino was arguing with Sakura. Sasuke was alone in his chosen seat, sulking as usual as his hands were cupped on his chins.

Okami stepped outside the room. "Well, I've got to go, Naruto."

"Eh! You're not joining us?"

Okami pointed with his mouth, which made Naruto confused. The kid turned around and saw Iruka who was smiling as held his hands akimbo.

"Hello, Okami-kun. I've never expected that you graduated that fast!" Iruka complimented him as he tapped Naruto's head. "And you, Naruto. Stop creating problems and go inside the class. Now!"

Naruto weakly nodded and entered the classroom.

Iruka smiled when he saw Naruto being obedient. Satisfied, he then patted Okami's head, who was waiting for his instructions. "I've heard everything from Hokage-sama. Perfect score in the written and practical exam. Even though you still have to take the throwing skill assessment, Hokage-sama decided to exempt you from it for unknown reasons."

"That's good news."

"Indeed. So where will you go after this?"

"I'm gonna go back to the house."

"How about attending the class today? At least everyone will know who you are and experience how it is to be in the class. Wait for me to call you. Stay here." Iruka beamed as he entered the classroom.

Okami heard Iruka's voice as he congratulated each and every one of them in becoming a Genin. It went on for a few minutes until he heard Iruka said, "Let's welcome the new Genin, Okami Okaya. He will be temporarily joining us for today. Please come here and introduce yourself."

Okami entered the room and heard several gasps from the female kids. He turned around and faced the classroom. "Hello, everyone. I am Okami Okaya of the Ketchum clan. Ten years of age."

"That's my friend!" Naruto suddenly stood up as he declared these words with pride.

Sasuke slightly moved his head and glared at him. "Hmph."

Sakura looked at Sasuke. "Don't worry, Sasuke. You're better than him."

"Naruto, sit down! No shouting inside the class." Iruka reprimanded him.

Shikamaru nudged his elbow against Choji. "Is he the kid that ate with us back at Akimichi Restaurant?"

"Yes." Choji grabbed some ch.i.p.s from a well-hidden bag and ate.

"Is he any good?" Kiba asked as he inspected Okami from head to foot.

"I don't know. But his Kekkei Genkai is something else." Shikamaru wanted to sleep but stopped when he saw Iruka glaring at him.

Kiba tilted his face slightly. "Kekkei Genkai? Like Sasuke Uchiha?"

Shikamaru nodded. "Pokemon Jutsu as he called it."

Sasuke heard every word the trio uttered and gave Okami a serious look.

Meanwhile, Ino poked her seatmate. "He's the one I've told you. Good-looking, right, Kali?"

"Yeah...I like him," Kali replied.

As this was happening, Okami was ushered by Iruka and let him sit beside Hinata.

"He...hello." Hinata greeted him as she gave him some space to sit down.

"Hello. It's a p.l.e.a.s.u.r.e to meet you." Okami set his bag beside him and listened to Iruka's lectures, curious to see how a ninja class was.

"Okay, listen. Being a Genin is your first step in becoming a ninja. But you are still a Genin, the hard journey that lies ahead has just started. After all, this is the lowest shinobi rank.

There are different shinobi ranks. Genin, Chunin, and Jounin. Besides the Hokage, Jounin has the highest position inside the village. Now, you will soon get missions to help the village. So today, we will create the 3-man team and each will have a Jounin-sensei. You will follow your Sensei's instructions in order to successfully complete your missions."

Sasuke snorted when he heard that he would be assigned to a 3-man team. He thought that it was a nuisance because there would be two more people that would get on his way for revenge.

Sakura clenched her fists as she prayed for Sasuke to be with him while Naruto hoped that Sakura and Okami would be his teammate.

Iruka went on his explanation. "Because of this, we tried balancing the strength of the teams. Because -"

"What!" Naruto shouted and stood up.

"Sit down!"

"Okay."

Iruka inhaled deeply and exhaled. "The teams are final. These are the new members of each team."
