The Resurrecting Overlord

After yelling out his declaration, Dong Xian looked at Yi Lian and his family fighting the assassin. They had turned their heads to him and had their jaws hanging out. Everyone was surprised and had a confused expression on their face. The assassin was the first one to speak. "Impossible! How is this possible? I used my killing move on you!" A high pitched voice rang out. Dong Xian simply smirked and said, "That simple attack cannot kill me!"

Yi Lian's face turned to one of anger. She knew that such a person with a strong technique like the Soul Foundations could not die easily. How was she fooled by his acting? Meanwhile, the family cried out tears of joy. They may treat Dong Xian like a rag doll, but who would wish to see their blood die?

Dong Xian did not care about their thoughts. His eyes were focused on the assassin. He had now recognised that the person he had been looking at was a woman from the bandages binding the c.h.e.s.t. However, he did not care if they were a man or a woman. He had nearly been sent to the astral plane again because of her. The anger he felt could not be appeased by just stopping her.

"I will show you 1% of my power!" Dong Xian yelled out as he rushed her at a warhorse's speed. The assassin noticed the danger and tried to dodge him. Here, the increase of power in Dong Xian came into play. The moment he noticed the movements of the assassin, there was a sudden burst of speed. Blood spurted out of the wound on the assassin's face.

Yi Lian and his family was shocked again. Was Dong Xian hiding his true power from them all along? Did he masquerade as a show-off to throw them off his scent? All these thoughts ran through their mind. Dong Xian has surprised them a lot recently, and all this thinking were also giving them quite the headache.

The assassin gave out a grunt of pain as she stumbled to her feet. She had thought that he was just a weakling who had stumbled onto an inheritance accidentally. If she had gotten the inheritance from his body, she would be able to exceed her master. She had seen his punch that could nullify Yi Lian's punch. Even though she was of the 10-dan Body Concentration, Yi Lian was still of 8-dan Body Qi Merge. If even a 3-dan Body Emerging cultivator could achieve this level of power, imagine if she used it.

She had never imagined that he had been hiding his true power all along. His body was releasing a aura befitting one that had already reached the next stage, The Spirit Stages! It was a very tempting offer. She could even have some manuals that could be appraised by his system for Currencies. The woman was excited. Maybe this was a chance for her to live! Dong Xian snorted, and with a cold glint in his eyes, he delivered the killing blow. The woman's skull and brain matter shattered and she never rose up again. He said, " Even if I could forgive you for trying to kill me, could I forgive you for killing my guests? I I did so, I would be abandoning my reputation and morals." He left these words as he slowly walked out of the Dong manor.
