After a while, I didn't continue our conversation because my heart was severe than I thought. My heart was heavy and wounded, but I also knew that it was not right to think about the past because no one who didn't make any mistake and wrongdoing in life. Luke was not entirely wrong because we couldn't choose with whom we fell in love. Affection always comes when we are not ready to accept it, and falling in love with someone, it didn't always have the reason behind it, without knowing why we just fell in love.

The real Elena didn't fall in love with Luke because he is a rich guy in the circle, nor because he is a handsome and popular man in their university like every other girl liked about him. Elena knew the real Luke that everyone didn't even know about him. No one in this world knew how kind Luke is except the real Elena. Elena accidentally met him while she was on the wat home, and she saw him putting an umbrella for two abandoned kitten on the corner of the shabby road.

Elena is an animal lover, so her heart melted when Elena saw this kind of thing. She never knew that a rich guy like Luke could do something like this, even though he didn't bring the kittens home, but she knew that taking care of animals was not an easy task. You should have time to spend together with them.

Elena didn't blame him for taking the kittens to his house, because Elena also knew that you should take care of them seriously. Elena always wanted to have kittens, so that was why she brought the kittens home. Luke didn't have time to take care of them, then I would be the one who would be taking care of them, Elena always felt sad when she saw an abandoned animal on the road, but she wasn't brave enough to take care of it.

Looking at how Luke brought a big umbrella for the kittens that made Elena was braver to take care of them and brought them home. Elena thought that a guy who loves animals was not a bad guy at all. He loves animals and be gentle towards it, of course, he will be a good guy with humans too.

It was not the last thing that Elena found out how kind Luke was. Elena also found him feed a pregnant cat in their university, and Elena's heart melted again this time. Elena also heard many rumors about Luke. Even though he is handsome and wealthy, but he is not easy to get closed to a stranger. He is a cold guy who didn't like to be friends with someone because of his status as the most promising CEO in the future. It was not a secret anymore to anyone that all of his family business would fall into his hands. 

It was one of the reasons all of the noble guys in the university tried hard to please him, and they hoped to have a cooperation in the future with their family's business. All of their parents also recommended them to have a good relationship with the future Emperor in the business world. No one dared to bother the Emperor of Vander's family. Everyone didn't have the same status as Luke at all. Luke already learn to manage their family's business when he was in senior high school. It proved that Luke was not a pampered child like any other nobleman in the aristocrat circle.

But there was one rumor which said that Luke fell in love with a poor girl in the university. She was not only a poor girl in the university, and she was a scholarship student and the smartest girl in acting and drama major. Even though she is impoverished and didn't have status in high-class rank, she is the most beautiful flower in acting and drama major. Every high-rank man liked him, and Luke was one of them. Her name is Miona Jeremy.

The real Elena that time felt uncomfortable for the first time when she heard that rumor, but she didn't know the reason why she felt like that. Later, Elena also saw another kindness that Luke showed without anyone knowing about it. Luke rescued an injured puppy from a truck, and the driver ran away without care for the puppy that became his victim. Elena felt her heart softened again, looked at this scene.

But the fact made her sad because Luke successfully rescued the puppy, but it also had to lose one of his legs because of the car crash. Elena didn't stop crying from a place that Luke didn't see. Luke felt sad for the puppy and tried to open adoption for the puppy, but of course, no one wanted to have a disabled puppy to be their pet. 

Elena's heart hurt so much look at this scene, and she contacted Luke to adopt the puppy. It was the first time Elena met Luke face to face, and it was also the last time Elena saw Luke from a close distance. Luke was contacting her several time to know about the dog situation after he made sure that Elena took care of the puppy properly, then he let it go with relief. Of course, Luke didn't remember this at all. After that, they met a few times, but Luke didn't recognize Elena at all, and it seemed that their meeting never happened in the past.

Elena also didn't force Luke to recognize her and kept looking at Luke from a place that Luke didn't know. Elena knew that Luke liked to water flowers in the back yard of the university. She also knew that Luke didn't like smoke too. Even though rumor said that Luke loved a girl named Miona Jeremy, they barely saw them alone together. Even though he met with Miona, but there would be with his friends. They were never alone in one place because everyone knew that Luke didn't like to be alone with anyone who was not his girlfriend. After all, at that time, Miona already fell in love with another noble guy.

Elena knew all of Luke advantages, Elena also knew all of his disadvantages, but her feelings for him began to grow in her heart. She knew that Luke is a good and nice guy all this time, even after their marriage, Elena never blamed Luke for his indifference towards her at all. Her heart was in pain, but she also knew that Luke misunderstood her character, and it was no use to convince someone to believe in you. If you forced someone to believe in you, their doubt would grow bigger.

The effective way was silent, even though it didn't solve your problem, at least the problem wouldn't become high because of your silence. It was no use to convince someone who didn't have any trust in yourself, and you can convince someone if they have believed in you. If they didn't trust you, then explaining your misunderstanding only wasted your time. Because not every problem you can solve with your explanation alone. There are problems that you didn't have to clarify anything, even though it wouldn't solve anything. Sometimes silence was gold.

After I calmed down, I realized we didn't speak to each other anymore. There were no sounds from Luke either, and we completely stood outside in stillness surround us. I only heard crickets sounded happily shouted to each other, and dogs were howling to each other without stopping. This situation made me scared.

"Luke," I called him, but Luke didn't answer me at all. 

"Luke," I called him again, but he kept silent. Why did he ignore me like this? Was he angry at me? Was I too hard on him? I also forgot that I bite him, and he was wounded, and I was worried again about him. I turned my body to face him, but what I saw surprised me.

Luke kneeled with both his knee on the ground, and his face was difficult to see because he sobbed in silence. His eyes swollen because he kept crying pitifully like an abandoned puppy, and I remembered the puppy he rescued in the past from the real Elena's memories. Why did I think he was cute at this time? It was not the right place to praise his cuteness right now.

I walked towards him and kneeled on one knee in front of him. I wiped his tears with my thumb lightly, afraid to hurt his swollen eyes.

"Luke, look at me," I said. I could see how empty his eyes right now. His face and his lips were pale like he saw a ghost a few minutes before. Luke's eyes were still full of emptiness. I never knew that my words would shock him like this. I felt guilty to say those words at him. My beloved man became this paralyze because of me.
