"Ah? Oh, no worries, I'm fine."

Lady Melissa answered, hoping that she didn't make Duke Gaston worry about her too much.

"Are you sure you're fine, Lady Melissa? Your face is red, and perhaps you need to go to the doctor's office or something?"

Duke Gaston had then proceeded to slowly move closer and closer to Lady Melissa, stretching his right hand out to her forehead, trying to check whether Lady Melissa was sick or not.

By checking whether her forehead was hot or cold.

But before Duke Gaston, had even touched Lady Melissa's forehead.

Lady Melissa had screamed.

"AHHHHHHHHH!"

Lady Melissa shouted, surprising Duke Gaston.

She was shocked at Duke Gaston's sudden actions, and she had accidentally shrieked, surprising Duke Gaston.

In an instance, Duke Gaston had backed away ALMOST immediately.

" I'm sorry for approaching you without permission."

Duke Gaston apologized to Lady Melissa, he had thought the reason why she was so startled was because he reached out to touch her forehead was because he didn't ask for permission.

And maybe because Lady Melissa wasn't comfortable with him.

'Great, now she'll think you're a creep.'

'I should've never touched her.'

Duke Gaston had felt incredibly guilty for startling Lady Melissa.

Negative thoughts had just filled Duke Gason's head, making him feel worse.

Lady Melissa had felt like absolute crap too, and she had shouted because she was startled at Duke Gaston for even attempting to do such a thing.

Although Duke Gaston had moved his hand slowly, Lady Melissa didn't grasp the situation, and it was only when Duke Gaston's hands were in front of her that she just realized how close he was.

Hence, she had shrieked.

She didn't mean to, but then again, it was kind of his fault for attempting to touch her without her consent.

Sure she felt terrible, but she wasn't in the wrong here, so she decided she wouldn't apologize.

Lady Melissa had enough of saying sorry in her past life.

And the two were once again awkward. The both of them had become quiet.

What felt like minutes had felt like hours to the both of them.

'Today is a shitty day.'

Lady Melissa thought to herself. She hadn't even discussed with Duke Gaston whether he wanted to join the rebellion against the Crown Prince with Lady Melissa.

"Hello! Your order is served."

The servant had just saved the day, bringing out the desserts the both of them had ordered.

Now Lady Melissa had HIGH hopes for the dessert because of its fame, but La Vien En Rose had completely ruined those high hopes.

Luckily, it was in a good way.

The pictures of the oreo ice cream she had ordered had done the oreo ice cream dirty.

The oreo ice cream had looked ten times better in real life; no twenty times better in real life than how it had looked in the pictures.

Which Lady Melissa didn't mind at all. Her face had turned from being frowny and stiff to happy and excited in less than a minute.

Duke Gaston had internally smiled at himself, seeing how cute Lady Melissa was acting.

"If that is all, I shall take my leave. Enjoy~"

The servant left, giving them both a sly expression, almost as if he was plotting something for the two of them.

"Let's eat now, Duke Gaston, before the ice cream melts."

"Yes, let's talk about the offer you had made to me as well."

Duke Gaston replied to Lady Melissa.

"Mmmm."

Lady Melissa let out a small moan after tasting a small bite of the ice cream, it was ABSOLUTELY delicious, and it had exceeded all of her expectations.

Lady Melissa was DEFINITELY going to go to La Vien En Rose again, maybe she'll even be a regular here. She didn't mind at all.

And the prices weren't too high either, at least not to Lady Melissa, so she wouldn't mind eating here every week.

"Lady Melissa, let's talk about the rebellion against the Crown Prince now. If that's okay with you?"

Duke Gaston questioned Lady Melissa Mendy Shayla.

Duke Gaston was worried that if he didn't bring it up, the both of them would forget about it and spent the day just meeting up, which of course, he didn't mind.

But he needed to discuss the rebellion with the Crown Prince with Lady Melissa, and it was his main priority, at least for the time being.

"Ah, okay, I don't mind at all. So, do you want to join my rebellion against the Crown Prince or not?"

Lady Melissa questioned Duke Gaston.

Duke Gaston had a flashback to all the times the Crown Prince acted arrogantly, looked down on him, and often disrespected him.

Duke Gaston had another memory of his parents finally admitting the truth to him a few days ago, after much convincing from himself.

Duke Gaston took a deep sigh, before hesitantly answering Lady Melissa's question.
