The Villainous Emperor Is My Pet?

Chapter 31 - I would rather die than marry this f.u.c.ker!

I blinked my eyes hard, trying to see any resemblance between the Emperor and Dante.

Dante looked like he was personally sculpted by the god of beauty, but his father seemed to have been trolled by the same god.

The Emperor's nose was fat, round, and reddish; his salty grey beard was longer than my hair. A sparkling gold crown with a huge ruby in the centre adorned his mass of dry grey hair.

Next, I studied his clothes. He was wearing a red cloak, black silk tunic and trousers, with gold armour and red leather boots.

He squinted his cataract eyes, trying to take a look at me.

And then, I looked at Dante who was standing only ten feet away from the Emperor. He was wearing simple black clothes, brown leather boots, and a vibrant blue cloak with a golden eagle sigil. I wondered why his sigil was different from others and why nobody was questioning him.

Honestly, he looked better as emperor than the emperor himself.

Oh, I judge people on the basis of appearance. Why is it wrong? He is supposed to be the emperor. Isn't it normal that I would have some expectations from him?

The Empress spoke first, "So, you are Aloisia Anneliese Bloodworth."

I pursed my lips to stop myself from scolding her for caking her face with makeup. I could barely make out her eyes and lips. Did she smear all the lipstick that she had on her lips? What's up with her clothes? Her dress was night-blue with gems that glowed like the headlights of vehicles. Her shoulders were b.a.r.e, but her skin was wrinkly with marks of ages. Did nobody teach her how to dress? Anyone has the freedom to wear what they want; however, not everything looks good on a person except for me.

I look good in everything.

"Such impudence!" She shrieked suddenly. "Bow down before us."

Why should I?

Dante turned his head toward me and said, "You don't have to."

I wasn't planning to, but why was she screaming like a mad cow?

We were alone in the hall. There were officials who had their heads lowered. They looked like they would love to be anywhere else than here.

"Alright." The Emperor waved his hand. "This emperor announces you as husband and wife."

What? I widened my eyes. "Your majesty, I don't even want to marry him."

"In our empire, women have no say," The emperor told me curtly. "Aloisia, you are a prisoner. If you don't marry him, you will be sent to the guillotine."

I gaped at the Emperor. What the f.u.c.k?

"I gave you what you want. You are her husband legally. If you want to take vows before the gods, visit the temple," The Emperor glanced at Dante. "Now, you must attend the engagement ceremony of King Kaige."

It was too crazy for me to swallow. "Your majesty, send me to the guillotine. I would rather die than marry this f.u.c.ker!"

The Empress' eyes glinted with amus.e.m.e.nt while the Emperor asked me solemnly. "What did you say?"

"I said --"

I was ready to repeat the words when Dante grabbed my arm and pulled me toward him.

Gripping my waist, he bent down his head before my brain could register what the hell was going on.

His cold lips grazed on mine lightly, softly. Since my mouth was half-opened as I was still in the middle of speaking, his tongue delved into my mouth, probing my tongue.

It had been a long time since I kissed a man. And Dante wasn't my ideal man. But my body was reacting as if I was in the midst of the Sahara and he was my oasis.

As he started to pull his head back, I grabbed the back of his head, standing on my toes. I pushed my tongue inside him, entangling with his cold tongue.

I was determined to make him warm even if it took forever.

Dante didn't push me away. However, I felt his grip loosening on my waist. He responded to me, coiling his tongue with mine, pulling his tongue to lure me in, teasing me deliciously, only to giving in when I was on the edge of frustration.

His brutal tongue was good at something else too. I couldn't help but wonder how he would move his tongue between my t.h.i.g.hs.

The thought made my stomach squeamish.

My head was flabbergasted with countless thoughts. I was kissing this man who was fictional, and I loved it a lot.

However, I needed to breathe and Dante didn't show any symptoms of breathlessness. The winner of the tongue fight was going to be him. I didn't want to accept defeat in such a manner. So, I bit down the corner of his lower lip, nibbling on it until I was sure that it would leave a mark on his beautiful face.

And when I pulled away, he looked at me as if nothing happened at all. I hated that nonchalant look in his eyes. Even playboys would show some reaction, but he was indifferent.

The rubicund love bite on his swollen lip was quite visible. Nobody could think that it was a bug bite unless the person was an idiot.

"Dante, do you have no shame?" The Empress howled at him. Her face had turned white with rage. "How could you do it in front of the emperor? Do you not even respect the throne?"

The Emperor was watching us quietly. He seemed like he couldn't care less if Dante and I started humping in front of him. I couldn't help but feel that something was horribly wrong here. Was that how an emperor supposed to react?

"Aloisia is from the North Kingdom," Dante said to her. "It's a custom to kiss after getting lawfully married in the North Kingdom -- it's a symbol of unity."

I stared at him. Did he really think that I accepted him as my husband? This marriage wasn't even legal because the emperor and Dante weren't real.

"Tch!" The Empress eyed him scornfully. Since the Emperor didn't say anything, she couldn't continue this issue. In the end, she shut down her trap and glared hard at me.

Why was she glaring at me? What the f.u.c.k did I do? I only kissed Dante back. It was no big deal.

Even if he was a fictional guy, he was a man and I was a woman. It was impossible not to feel anything when a s.e.xy guy like him was kissing me, especially after years of no kissing and all.

"We will leave for the North Kingdom today." Dante declared with his usual emotionless voice, "When I return, I want the throne."

"Only if you are able to find the secret of the North Kingdom!" The empress shredded her dignity and yelled at him.

Dante treated her like air. He placed his hand on my back and dragged me along with him.

It must have been because of the kiss: I felt that the heat from his hand was burning the skin on my back. I curled my fingers and licked my lips that tasted like him.
