The Void Between Universes

What happened in green star was a weird phenomenon that confused and put all the power in the universe in alert, that much of a different between the two was so big for five years to pass in one world while only one night passed on all the other universes.

That was what the normal and second rank powers knew but what the three universal powers know was that the universal heart had reappeared, but that was to be expected because if the reappearance of the universal heart was known than every and all power that have the means to get it will start searching for it and wars will be starting just for a rumor, because those powers will accept destroying an innocent clan or sect instead of leaving such a treasure.

Universal tree clans headquarter:

"Is what you said true did the universal heart truly appear" a man sitting in the throne asked an elder standing in front of him.

That man was Arthur Druantia he was the leader of the universal tree one of the most influenced people in the world.

"Yes sir we are sure, the place had all the characteristic that a birth place of a universal heart should have and we are almost sure that the sealing of green star had something to do with the person that took it" the elder said, he was one of the universal tree elders.

"We need to get it our plan is almost finished, half a year we need just half a year to open it but if someone uses the universal heart to open it our twenty years of planning and hard work are going to be wasted just like that" Arthur Said it was apparent that he was nervous and mad at the same time.

The universal tree had worked on that project for so long but the appearance of the universal heart was something that they don't want especially that it's not in their hands.

"Don't worry your highness in order to activate it the universal heart is not the only thing needed, what we really need to concentrate on right now is opening it, and searching for the other needed materials, the life crystal and the link, the link isn't something that can be found without the other materials but the life crystal is another thing as long as we find it we won't need to fear those that have the universal heart" the elder said with confident.

"Do you think that finding the life crystal is easy if we could find it than we wouldn't have started a resource eating project like this one" Arthur said; and then added after staying silent for a while.

"Our opponent must know more than us when it comes to this I won't be surprised if they know where the life crystal is"

"Sigh...put all our power on opening it as fast as possible" Arthur said and then mummed:

"Let's pray that the life crystal won't appear"

Change of P.O.V Alex:

It was the second time I wake up after being in an adventure in another world, and just like the time before I didn't feel anything weird.

The memories of what happened to me in green star were like old memories that didn't affect me anymore, even my hate and resentment for the thing was less but it was still there as what he did for me wasn't something that anyone would accept.

I made it to school but I didn't go and chat with the gang as usual, I only greeted them and returned to my seat, and waited.

After a while Emily entered the class room as usual she was smiling a big smile while talking with Maya and her other friends.

She greeted everyone in the classroom with her usual bright smile and after that she looked at the place where I usually stand with my other friends, when she didn't find me she looked at my seat and when she did that I signed to her to come to me and.

With a confused look on her face and after hesitating for a brief moment she moved to me and said:

"Hi Alex how are you today" and as always she said it with a big bright smile.

And as always when I saw it my heart started beating faster and faster.

"Damn, I wasn't this nervous even when I knew that I may be chased by three immortality ascending cultivators" I thought to myself.

Yes I was going to confess, I finally made my mind, and collected my courage to do it.

The reason why I finally decided to do it was because in those five years in green star I missed her a lot and I thought about how my life would be along with her and I even had a few friends there that get married and had children's seeing them like that I couldn't stop myself from thinking about Emily and I vowed to confess to her when I returned.

You see even though the memories and emotions that I had in green star get sealed they were still a part of me which mean that they affected me some way or another.

Those memories and emotions helped me decided and played a great rule in making my mind.

"Great and you?" I said after calming down, yet I still said the simplest answer.

"I'm fine, so why did you call me"

I tried to slow my beating heart a little, and returned my thoughts to the right path and said:

"Yeah about that can you please wait for me in here in class after school today I have something to tell you" I tried saying it while keeping my I poker face but I never had one so I'm sure I looked nervous, I was asking from the girl that I love to wit for me after school of course I was nervous.

Emily seemed shocked I didn't knew why she had that absent minded look on her face and she didn't say a thing since I asked her to wait for me in class, she just stood there looking at me, no she wasn't looking at me her eyes were unfocused.

"Hi Emily is there something wrong" seeing her like that I became concerned about her so I asked.

"Oh sorry I just spaced out for a bit" she said while shaking her hand.

'Spacing out the future ahead of me seem dark' I though, I mean she was spacing out while I was doing my best to ask from her to meet me after school and my heart was going to explode and she was spacing out, not promising not promising at all.

While I was thinking about my dark future Emily said:

"So Alex did you decided" staying quite for a while after answering me she finally lifted her head and looked at me straight in the eyes with determination.

I was surprised and confused for a while but then I remembered that I told her yesterday 'or five years ago' that when time come for me to confess she was going to be the first one to know so she can help me.

"Yes" that's the only word that I could say as I thought about her reaction when she know that she's the one that I love.

I was expecting the same look as the one that she gave me last time, the one that made her look as a predator seeing his prey, but she didn't show that expression instead she smiled and said:

"Ok I'll be waiting for you" she said it with a beautiful smile and a bright voice the same as always but:

'Why do I feel as if it's different why do I want her to stop showing that smile...' that what I thought after I saw that smile.

"Good bye then" She said before I could even say anything else and turned around and left.

"Good bye" I said as I looked at her back.

"Alex what's going on you left us and came here to talk to Emily I think that you've forgotten about our friendship after getting yourself a girlfriend" after Emily left I heard a voice coming from behind me.

"She's not my girlfriend..."

"At least not yet" I didn't even need to turn around to know who said that.

I turned around and as expected I saw Adam, he's the only one that know about my feelings for Emily.

"So you finally mastered the courage to confess to her" he asked while smiling.

"Yeah I did, I'm going to do it after school in the evening" I said while looking at Emily.

"Well good luck then" he said while patting my shoulder and headed to his seat as the teacher had arrived.

The rest of the day was normal; I spent most of it looking at Emily.

For many times our eyes met but I would evert my eyes hurriedly, but for many times I found Emily looking at me, yet she didn't evert her eyes, she would look at me and give me a smile, the same as the one that the one she gave me that morning.

Maya also gave glared at me a few times that day, which confused me a lot.

Even though my relationship with her was bad I couldn't remember doing anything that may make her mad, but I soon throw that out of my mind.

I stood is class after school with Adam looking at all my other friends and classmates leaving.

When they all left Adam finally looked at me and said:

"Ok bro this is your chance god help you and good luck because you will need it" and started laughing.

"Go die" I punched him on the shoulder.

"No I'm serious good luck, text me the good news and if it's bad just text me anyway so I can come and laugh at you" he said with a serious voice.

"Ok I will" I know that he wanted me to know that he's there for me.

Adam left, leaving me alone in class.

I didn't wait for long before the door of the classroom opened, I looked up and I saw Emily entering the room she was looking at the floor and her hands were clenched.

She stood in front of me but none of us said anything we just stood like in silent.

My heart was beating faster and faster, to the point that I could hear it clearly, I also felt my face turn hot just standing alone with her in class made me react like that.

It took me a while in order to calm down and have enough courage to look at her, when I did that I found that she was still looking at her feet and her hands were still clenched.

As I tried to say something she finally lifted her head and looked at me.

She smiled when our eyes met the same smile that she gave me that morning and said started talking with a soft voice that was trembling a little:
