Chapter 51: The Evil Spirit

A spirit showed up in a gallery.

Thulhu gave it some thought and then asked Roald, “So, you think Molly did something there?”

“It’s possible,” said Roald cautiously. “Maybe she was holding an evil ritual to… to curse you.”

The look on Thulhu’s face suddenly became very gloomy. Thinking of how Molly behaved in front of him a few months ago, a chill ran down his back.

If that was all fake, Thulhu was in huge trouble.

Therefore, they had to go to the gallery!

Thulhu took a deep breath. “We should set off now.”

“We’re probably going to fight a cursed spirit. I need to prepare first. What about you?” asked Roald.

Third, Thulhu had to be the one to launch the final deadly strike. Cooperation counted, but Thulhu had to make ample contributions in the fight and stay close enough.

Finally, Thulhu was able to collect XP from special items such as reading a magic book which contained extraordinary power. Common books wouldn’t work, regardless of whether or not they contained knowledge about extraordinary power.

The rules left Thulhu speechless.

Mrs. Schilling looked around at her six bodyguards in black and then nodded.

She was Ice Melia’s wife. Ice Melia was a very successful businessman in the union. After what happened in the gallery, he had instantly hired bodyguards and private detectives to protect his wife.

Thulhu could tell that the six bodyguards were very professional, but they weren’t extraordinaries.

The bodyguards were on full alert.

“Good!”

Roald opened his notebook and started asking questions. “Can you describe what the spirit looked like?”

Mrs. Schilling looked confused. “I can’t remember…”

That sounded very strange to Thulhu. Did the spirit not have a specific form?

“Okay, don’t get nervous! We’ll leave!” Roald shrugged. “But ma’am, if you come up with anything, please contact us immediately!”

“I will.”

Mrs. Schilling’s face looked pale, but she finally calmed down a little. Leaning back in a recliner, she asked the maid to see them out.

However, the butler hurried in at that moment. There was fear on his face.

“Madam, Mr. Gilbert is dead!”

“What?”

Roald and Thulhu exchanged looks.

Gilbert was also one of the survivors. They had just been about to visit him.

Mrs. Schilling lamented.

“He was murdered… in a locked room.”

The butler’s face also looked pale. “The detective said that Mr. Gilbert cried for help. It was the evil spirit!”
