War-Gods Trip To The Future

Miko was disappointed in herself. She had the perfect opportunity and had squandered it. While alone in a van that she was driving in with her target, she could have driven off to an uninhabited area, finished her off, and made her escape. But, she had made the excuse that such an action would burn the identity she was currently using, however, Black Raven did not care how many identities she went through.

Along the way to the company building, Miko had seen four to five chances that she could have used to take out her target without burning her identity such as driving into an empty parking garage, assassinating Ye Sakura, beating herself up, and then framing a nonexistent gang or person. But, she had an unwavering feeling that her target was keeping a close watch on her and hesitated at each one until it was too late. However, Ye Sakura only looked out the window with an amazed expression on her face the entire ride. It must have just been another one of her excuses.

When they had arrived at the company and she realized that she felt a sense of relief, that was when she became disappointed in herself. What was this? Why could she not do her job? Why did she feel relived to have failed?

No, this can't happen. I still have another chance today! I will use that poison and slip it in one of her drinks today.

Not realizing that she was losing control of her emotions that she had been suppressing her entire life in order to be a top-notch assassin, she followed Ye Sakura into Suzuki Sana's office plotting the ways she would redeem herself. Before she knew it, however, the three of them were already on their way out of the office.

Ye Taro was sitting in his office feeling very impatient. It had been a while now and that despicable devil was still around. He had placed that assassin he had hired as her assistant but if she never left the Ye residence she would not need the use of the assistant.

As he was plotting on ways to either place his assassin inside the residence or get Ye Sakura to come out, his secretary came barging into his office out of breath as if he had just been running.

"What is it?" Ye Taro spat out at him as he was annoyed due to being interrupted.

"Sir, it's Ye Sakura, I just saw her and her assistant entering the building."

"Oh, she finally left the protection of her home has she?" Ye Taro said as he became excited.

Then, after thinking for a few seconds, Ye Taro came up with an idea. He knew what the public currently thought of that pink haired devil and decided to use that fact to his advantage.

"Ok, even though we have an assassin next to her, I want to set up a back-up plan. Go and anonymously spread news on the online forums that Ye Sakura is currently here at the company. If she manages to survive long enough to leave today, then I will make sure she doesn't get far." He said smiling with anger the entire time.

"Yes sir," the secretary replied before rushing off to accomplish his orders.

Koda Rei was currently waiting in the conference room with Miss Fei. Even though he was an investor, calling a meeting like this with no reason would not be a good thing, therefore, he had needed to come up with one. After thinking about it for a few minutes, he had decided to make the meeting about the publics current opinion of Ye Sakura.

Making this the reason for the meeting would not only let him meet with Ye Sakura, but it would also let him potentially help her fix the problem and improve her public standing. Regardless, he was nervous about this meeting. He did not know how he was going to investigate whether or not this girl was the one he fell in love with back then.

Currently, the only thing he could think to do was to increase the time he spent near her in order to look for more similarities and differences between this girl and his first love. However, what could he do during this meeting that would allow him to meet with her again after it was over?

As he had just been told that she was on her way to this conference room right now, he did not have much longer to figure it out. Just as he was going to continue pondering over what to do the doors to the conference room opened.

Entering the Conference room, Suzuki Sana, Yamamoto Miko, and Ye Sakura walked in and took seats opposite Koda Rei and Miss Fei.

"Hello, Mister Koda, now that it looks like we are all here, how about we begin," started Suzuki Sana. "Oh, I almost forgot, Miko, could you go and get us all some coffee."

Miko nodded in Suzuki's direction before heading back out of the conference room.

Not wanting to wallow in his nervousness Koda Rei decided to just start, "I asked us to meet here today because of one simple reason. The problem of Ye Sakura's current public image."

Ye Sakura was surprised. She had no idea there was a problem with how she looked to the public. Granted, even though she had a smartphone, she never used it to search the web. She only used it to answer phone calls and even then, she found using the phone awkward and would have prioritized her time for training and studying anyways. So, she had not seen the comments and trending topics all about her.
