Wild Young Miss: Mister, Let's Kiss!

Chapter 592 - Sixth Commandment V

Carried away by the heat of the moment, the two shared their body and soul into one. Sarah had never been this happy and satisfied this entire one year with him until now. Even though she knew it was just for a short moment, she gave herself up and went along the flow.

Inside the bedroom, the place where they both of them rest, talk about their day until they fall asleep, went into a complete silence after the act was done.

Sarah clasped her hand on the hem of the blanket, holding it up to cover her chest. Slowly, she turned to Zachery who was on her side.

He was leaning against the headboard, blinking his eyes as if he was utterly speechless at what happened. Sarah noticed the guilt that flickered across her eyes which made her smile bitterly.

"Don't worry. I know it's a mistake and this shouldn't have ever happened." She hung her head low, biting her lower lip.

Still, she couldn't help but think why was she apologizing? She was the wife and they weren't doing anything wrong. What they had done was something that was blessed with marriage and it was a normal act to do between husband and wife.

"I,"She choked, shaking her head before lifting her head and sported a smile. "I'll freshen up. I'm sure Beth is worried. You can just go. You don't have to wait for me."

With that being said, Sarah dragged herself out of the bed. Wrapped by the blanket, she picked up the silk night dress and changed her cover as Zachery needed something to cover his bare body.

No words could describe the pain that came after her happiness. She felt like she was the other party, which she was starting to hate. She's the legal wife and there's no shame in this. However, these feelings that enveloped her heart… it was growing unbearable.

Zachery watched Sarah enter the bathroom in silence. When the door shut behind her, he let out a heavy sigh.

'What have I done?' He asked internally, pinching the space between his brows.

He didn't know what compelled him to do such acts. However, although part of him was worried, he didn't feel guilty. The reason he was in utter conflict.

He had never seen Sarah in a romantic way even though she was his wife. But now, not that his view changed, yet, he couldn't explain it.

Was it a pity? His answer was definitely not that. He knew, deep down, he didn't pity Sarah. Or perhaps, he did. Was their friendship and her reserved personality something that had hindered his view to turn it in a romantic way?

Did he have feelings for Sarah all along? How about Beth? Zachery was certain he loved Beth. But for Sarah… there were a lot of uncertainties, questions, and the list goes on.

'What should I do?' He asked himself once again

After an hour, Sarah was finally done bathing. She looked at herself through the mirror, attempting to smile but to no avail. Her eyes had become so swollen crying silently while washing herself up.

Slowly, she touched her cheek. How did she become this pitiful? Sarah knew the answer, but chose to keep asking herself why.

"You'll be fine," She whispered, encouraging herself that everything would work and she would find herself, learn to value herself, and love herself once again.

"Everything will be fine."

She added as she nodded. Taking deep breaths, Sarah exited the bathroom with her chin up. Little did she know, Zachery would still be there.

"You're done?" Without looking at her direction, Zachery placed down the desserts they failed to eat earlier on the small round table inside the room.

Speechless, Sarah blinked her eyes as she fixed her eyes on his side profile. "I thought you left."

Under her breath, she muttered in disbelief. She surely heard the door of the room open and closed. With how silent she was crying in the bathroom, all faint noises reached her ears.

Yet, he didn't? Instead, Zachery left and came back with the desserts she had made herself. Zachery probably didn't know that, but Sarah had exerted effort more than he thought.

"How can I?" Zachery chuckled as he turned his head into her direction. "Also, thank you for this."

In his hand, he showed her a fountain pen; the one she brought him as a present. Knowing he was fond of studying and had a habit of taking notes, Sarah thought of giving that to him to remind him of her.

Sarah's hands closed into a fist. The corner of her lips slightly stretched into a subtle smile. "I thought you didn't want it?"

She asked as she slowly strode towards him. Her eyes darted from the dessert to him and smiled.

"Well," He only shrugged as he massaged his nape. "I saw it laying on the table while getting the desserts."

He explained. Well, that was true though. He was curious and thought of opening it. Zachery wouldn't lie about being moved upon receiving such simple yet meaningful presents. Surely, Sarah knew more about him more than he thought he was.

"Anyway, sit down. I still need to go and fetch the wine." Zachery walked behind her, placing his hand over her shoulders and guided her to seat.

Sarah looked up behind her. "Zach, why are you doing this?"

She asked, couldn't help herself. This was puzzling for her. She expected the worst, but not this kind of outcome. No matter what her mother-in-law said that wavered her mind, Sarah decided not to do so.

Thus, she threw the love drug away and just wanted to dine with him for the last time. Yet, Zachery's actions were making it hard for her to believe that this marriage couldn't be salvaged anymore.

"You said you wanted something to compare with your future lover, right?" Zachery humored, smiling playfully which made her chuckle.

"I'm just trying to compete." He added, winking at her as if Beth no longer existed in his head as he left to get the wine.

Little did the three know, this was just the beginning of the bizarre love triangle of Beth, Zachery, and Sarah.. If only… if only Zachery wasn't a scum of the society, nothing as tragic as this would ever happen and no innocent life like Zoey would have to bear the consequences.
